The Dallas Cowboys have announced that receiver Dez Bryant has agreed to terms.

And, yes, the e-mail from the Cowboys came through just as we were posting the blurb about the strong indications that the deal is done.

As a result, agent Eugene Parker represented the last guy to sign in 2009 (receiver Michael Cratbree), and he represented the first guy to sign in 2010.

there is a list of 18 players that didnt get signed last year on time... i think i may have missed 2-3 guys whos camp started late. so lets say 14-15 for fun.... almost half the entire league had guys not signed by the time camp started for them..

pollack? played well, got hurt a year in, never palyed again.. bengals fucked.
leon hall? solid palyer, about to get a new deal, paid fairly.

so bengals FUCKED 40% of the time, the draft is a gamble, a few days of camp means little in the scheme of a palyers career, missing a week of camp is a LOT for a rookie, but he hasnt missed any time, and there is no sign that he will.. you are bitching over something that isnt happening...

What are you suggesting bengaled? Are you saying that if Andre Smith had been in camp on time the Bengals would have won the AFC North and swept the division?

they wouldn't have had the ongoing problems they did at RT. they would have won more games, at the very least... one more game. that would have created a different matchup in the playoffs. IMO we'd have had an easier course in the playoffs because of that change in matchups. roll your cute little eyes at that, all the while telling me you don't believe it.

I think given our track record for impact players getting hurt in preseason we shouldn't sign him (or Shipley) until the season starts. Knowing our luck he will look great and then tear up his knee in the 3 rd preseason game and never be the same.

I know it was mostly sarcasm, but preseason games scare the shit out of me. All of my buddies were so excited when we heard we got the HOF game, but all i could think of were the dozens of extra snaps that would be extra opportunities for injury.
