Everyone gets the wakeup call after week 2, then they can get off the raven's ass and start paying attention.

And how Theisman has a job is beyond me, really behind the redskins? (homer)

I love that he continues to be an ass. I've never had a reason to feel guilty for cheering when LT broke that fucker's leg.

I've met him. He's an ass to be certain. I have little reason to doubt he's also an idiot.

What makes you say that? :P

how we are behind the broncos is just mind boggling.

or the Bears... I mean I think the Bengals are better that a lot of teams ahead of them... but to be behind those two is laughable... He is such an asshat..

I've done the analysis. Won't bore everyone with the excrutiating details, but in a nutshell I:
1 - Figured how far off each "expert" placed each team from the average of the other 7
2 - Weighted each "expert" in terms of the cumulative margin of error - those with less total error were weighted higher. 8 for the best, 1 for the worst.
3 - Re-ran the weighted averages for each team and computed their relative ranks.

The weights were:
8: Wyche (error = 65.75)
7: Brooks (70.50)
6: Theismann (75.00)
5: Lombardi (76.00)
4: LaCanfora (80.00)
3: Kirwan (81.75)
2: Brandt (85.50)
1: Carucci (87.50)

Usually Brandt is MUCH closer to the mean and Theismann is MUCH farther. I chalk this up to Week 0 being a total crapshoot.

Here's the concensus ratings for all 32 teams:
1: 86 GB (2)
2: 112 IND (1)
3: 113 NO (4)
4: 142 BAL (1)
5: 228 SD
6: 236 DAL
7: 328 MIN
8: 334 NYJ
9: 361 NE
10: 392 ATL
11: 395 CIN
12: 421 HOU
13: 433 SF
14: 486 PIT
15: 510 MIA
16: 572 NYG
17: 629 PHI
18: 638 TEN
19: 676 WAS
20: 701 OAK
21: 783 CAR
22: 806 ARI
23: 842 CHI
24: 846 JAX
25: 871 DET
26: 879 DEN
27: 908 SEA
28: 978 KC
29: 1000 CLE
30: 1078 TB
31: 1107 STL
32: 1117 BUF

Legend (fewer points is better)
RANK: Points TEAM (# of 1st place votes)

Note: If you throw out Theismann, we move up from 11th to 9th. The top 16 would be:
1: GB
2: IND
3: NO
4: BAL
5: DAL (up 1)
6: SD (down 1)
7: NYJ (up 1)
8: MIN (down 1)
9: CIN (up 2)
10: ATL
11: NE (down 2)
12: HOU
13: SF
14: PIT
15: MIA
16: NYG

Continuing the lunacy, here's the current concensus post-season picture, including Theismann:
NFC-E: 236-DAL 572-NYG 629-PHI 676-WAS
NFC-N: 86-GB 328-MIN 842-CHI 871-DET
NFC-S: 113-NO 392-ATL 783-CAR 1078-TB
NFC-W: 433-SF 806-ARI 908-SEA 1107-STL
AFC-E: 334-NYJ 361-NE 510-MIA 1117-BUF
AFC-N: 142-BAL 395-CIN 486-PIT 1000-CLE
AFC-S: 112-IND 421-HOU 638-TEN 846-JAX
AFC-W: 228-SD 701-OAK 879-DEN 978-KC

NFC Seeds: (1)GB (2)NO (3)DAL (4)SF (5)MIN (6)ATL
AFC Seeds: (1)IND (2)BAL (3)SD (4)NYJ (5)NE (6)CIN

Wildcard Playoffs:
ATL@DAL = DAL
MIN@SF = MIN
CIN@SD = SD
NE@NYJ = NYJ

Divisional Playoffs:
MIN@GB = GB
DAL@NO = NO
NYJ@IND = IND
SD@BAL = BAL

Super Bowl: Packers over Colts

(The non-Theismann picture would be:
NFC Seeds: completely unchanged
AFC Seeds: (1)IND (2)BAL (3)SD (4)NYJ (5)CIN (6)NE
We and NE still lose our Wildcard games, although to different opponents.
All other post-season results unchanged.)

From FOX Sports ...

3 Bengals

Why isn't everyone talking about this team? Sure, they'll sign some questionable players from time to time, but when you examine Cincinnati's roster, you'll find they don't have many weaknesses. And defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is among the best at getting the most out of his players.

It's amazing me how the "experts" aren't looking at Ed Reed being out for 6 weeks (at least). How the Ravens haven't played well within their own division, and how they STILL don't have a deep threat.... The Bengals could play 8 in the box against them, because neither TJ nor Boldin are going to beat JJ and Leon deep. Their defense really has a bad match up against the Bengals.
