Former Clemson defensive tackle Brandon Thompson is on to the next one after firing Hadley Engelhard of Enter-Sports Management. The #93 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals has signed with Michael Perrett, who is Vice President of Football at SportsTrust Advisors. The signing has been confirmed by Kevin McGuire, Vice President – Marketing at SportsTrust.
The addition of Thompson only strengthens an already powerful 2012 NFL Draft class for the team at SportsTrust Advisors. On Draft Day, the company had 10 clients selected, including 2 in the 1st round. On the other hand, Engelhard’s loss wipes out half of his Draft class. However, his other client that was selected is defensive end Andre Branch, who also happens to be a product of Clemson. Branch was selected #38 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Is Thompson at mini-camp? Any word on how far apart he and the Bengals are?
Yes, he's at camp (#79 in the DL video yesterday) and I haven't seen anything on how far apart they are. He switched agents recently, as someone posted earlier.

I'm not worried about him holding out, but this is really weird that he's the only one left. Is he waiting to see what Andrew Luck gets?
It is strange. Is he already slotted too?

I'm trying to find a signing status list of draft picks. I've found a couple in the past, but they're no longer available.

someone else brought up earlier that it was said league wide that 3rd rounders would be tough under the new CBA. 3rd round is borderline "expected to start soon"/"valuable role player" and there's probably a greater difference in price on each side.

He's slotted... not sure of the holdup. I can't get the format to paste but here's a nice site.

edit: looking closer, the guy behind us got more than his slot. The delay might be over $50,000

He fired his agent. Maybe one day he woke up picked up the phone and told the guy he was fired and then called the other agent and told he was hired.

Could happen that way. I'd say there is a good chance of a back story and probably none of it involves getting contract stuff done. Whatever the old agent did is probably worthless and new agent needs to get started. The old agent might want some money or whatever.

Bengals are probably sitting by waiting for whoever to call them.

Thanks for the link. It's funny how, like 1181 was alluding to, Round 3 looks a lot like Round 1 how the first 10 picks or so aren't signed. That Jax punter in the 3rd better hurry up and sign before they change their mind.

Whoever punted for Jacksonville last year when we played really harmed their chances of winning the game.

Wind/Weather was a factor but that guy shit the bed.

Tom Tupa?

And yes, he was bad. I guess there was multiple games like that for JAX last year.
