Miami sucks. I am less worried about this game than I was about the Jags. And I wasn't worried about the Jags.
I dunno, Arizona has a stout D and the phins carved them up. I think we we dedicate to stop the run like we did Sunday, tannehill will do much better with what we give him. Hopefully the crowd is nuts!!

If you just look at the record you want to look past this game, but you can't. Could be a trap game like the next Cleveland game.
I don't think this is a "trap" game. But I do think Miami is better than their record indicates. They are a very good rushing team and excellent at stopping the run.

Year in and year out, ...the Stains are the same, ...you have to bring it every game or they could beat you but if you bring it they'll fold.

Exactly. The Browns are a dangerous team, especially with Haden back. Much more worried about the Browns then the Dolphins.

Don't get me wrong, this is a game we [s]should[/s] have to win. I firmly believe that.
At home against a team with a losing record and with some tough games coming up. After Cleveland there's only Oakland and Kansas City as "easy" games on the entrie schedule.

If we take care of business, we should win this. Our improved pass rush will not allow Tannehill to throw for 431 yards. Maimi's pass defense is 3rd to last so we should do fine. They gave up 373 yards to Carson and he was passing to guys who wouldn't make our scout team.

I look for the pass rush to eat Tannehill alive. They won't have to account for him running like RGIII. Even though Hartline torched AZ last week, Miami still has a bunch of D-league receivers, probably worse than JAX. Getting Hall and/or Clements back improves the situation vs. the pass even more.

I don't see them overlooking the Phins, but I am worried about the Browns too. They always play us way better than they have any right to.

They do that once in a year, usually. Perhaps they have had their shot.

The crowd hasnt been nuts in years. I was at steeler game last year and it felt like I was at a retirement home for mutes. You get yelled at for standing up for big plays and literally no one around me made any noise at all the entire game. I had some geezer threaten to call the jerk line on me for standing up for 10-15 seconds on a big 3rd down.

Notes: Red October; Newman responds; Clements cautious

Posted 17 minutes ago

Geoff Hobson Editor Bengals.com

Some stats to mull as the Bengals come off September at 3-1.

They are 15-21 in October under head coach Marvin Lewis and while that is his worst month, quarterback Andy Dalton is 4-0 in October after he was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month last year when he engineered three fourth-quarter comebacks.

October seems to be the swing month for Lewis. If his teams are going to make the playoffs, they've needed a winning record this month.

Last year they secured a Wild Card berth when they put the perfect October on top of a 1-2 September. And in the years they won the AFC North, they went 3-2 in '05 to go along with a 3-2 September and 3-1 in '09 after a 2-1 September. When they didn't make it in '06 after a 3-0 September, they went 1-3 and when they went into October of 2010 at 2-1, they went 0-4 and fell out of the race….

Now that they are preparing for their third rookie quarterback in four weeks with the arrival of the Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill Sunday, the Bengals' record against rookie quarterbacks under Lewis is 11-9 after wins against Cleveland's Brandon Weeden and Washington's Robert Griffin III…

Defensive end/SAM backer Dontay Moch returned Monday from his four-week NFL suspension for violating the policy on performance enhancing substances and the Bengals are accepted to hear later in the day that they've been granted a week-long roster exemption for Moch. Which means he can practice without the Bengals needing to make room for him. But if they decide he looks good enough to play this week, they'll have to put him on the roster and let somebody go. The leading candidate is the guy that just arrived two weeks ago, end Wallace Gilberry…

Veteran cornerback Terence Newman has been one of the unsung heroes of the opening quarter of the season. He has been Davy Crockett at the Alamo, the last man standing from a group of corners that has all been down at one time or another but him. The oldest man on the club at 34 is having the last laugh and he's coming off another solid effort Sunday.

The 10-year vet has certainly got an eyeful of the Bengals defensive line.

"Oh man," he said Monday. "Those guys are animals. Don't leave small children around them. Those guys are animals. It's also fun watching those guys with the passion they play with." …

Cornerback/safety Nate Clements, one of those guys that were down Sunday (calf), didn't make the trip and he couldn't stand watching it on TV. Here's a 12-year vet with 162 games in the pocket and he's watching it like a 12-year-old.

"That's not for me," he said. "I was anxious. All nervous. Yelling at the TV. I was just yelling. Excitement when A.J. (Green) scored. Defense got some key stops."

Clements felt like Newman or safety Chris Crocker would get the Bengals' first interception of the season.

"My gut feeling," he said. "I was watching Terence on film the week of preparation and his footwork was good. I was thinking that Crocker would be one to come in and get a pick or something. I was happy for him"

Crocker got the pick in the middle of the fourth quarter, his first in nearly three years and in his first game since they cut him April 6…

Lewis said they'll evaluate Crocker's role on a week-to-week basis…

He didn't back down from his post-game assertion that Clements and fellow starting corner Leon Hall have "a great opportunity," to be back this week…

Clements would only say he's continuing to rehab, but it's the first time he's been around the locker room in a week…

Hall went out to the practice field with Bengals director of rehab Nick Cosgray Monday as he tries to return for the first time in two weeks…

Is he their LE or RE? Double him with Gresham. Another way to combat that is a lot of quick motion with Hawkins. Keep him and his containing duties on high alert.

I think we can handle this team easily. People may be weary of the Dolphins offensive stats against a quality D, but I'm not. Arizona's offense is abysmal and if they could do anything other than go 3 and out every possession Tannehill and co. would have a had a lot more pedestrian numbers.

We're getting healthy, our offense is clicking, and our DL is getting nasty. IMO we're ripe to beat down a shitty team.

Interesting. I know he got all 4.5 sacks in one game. Perhaps like Dunlap last year who was at the top per PFF on QB hurries.
