It's behind a pay wall, anyone with a subscription care to share?

Damn, sorry. I wonder if I had free articles remaining at the time I originally clicked the link

Has this guy played any at the Guard position?  Seems a shame to have him sit behind Karras if he's really that talented and seemingly NFL ready.  I know it was only preseason but its refreshing to have good news and hope about young offensive linemen (Mims too of course) for a change.

Not sure honestly, other guys seem to have held up well too

If Lee was big enough to play guard, he would not have been a late 7th round draft choice. His lack of size and versatility are his biggest flaws. NFL teams usually only have 8 OL active on gameday with the 3 backups usually able to play multiple positions. But if Lee turns out to be the only backup center on the roster, he will have to be an active on Sundays. It doesn't feel like Trey Hill is going to make the 53 man roster as of now.

For those who argued that Carman's spot on the roster was safe because he was a second round pick and it would be admitting to a big draft mistake

They are clearly admitting Carman was a bad pick...while saving money too,

The Carman pick has MB’s fingers all over it. Just like John Ross.

If I recall correctly The Ketchup Whisperer was involved in Carman's development at some point pre-draft and he was consulted.  I can't imagine that he gave anything other than rave reviews for one of his guys.  Duped.  Film shouldn't have duped them though.
