Eagles (4-2) at Bengals (3-4)

1 p.m. ET | CBS | ESPN BET: CIN -2.5 (47.5 O/U)

Eagles storyline to watch: The Eagles rushed the ball a combined 81 times over the past two games -- 10 more than the next-closest team -- for 385 total yards (192.5 per game). RB Saquon Barkley is second to only the Ravens' Derrick Henry in rushing yards per game (109.7) and is coming off a 176-yard performance against his former team, the Giants. Cincinnati has yielded 136 rushing yards per game and has given up the second-most rushing first downs (65). -- Tim McManus

Bengals storyline to watch: Cincinnati's offense is looking to rebound after a rough couple of weeks. In back-to-back wins, the Bengals have scored touchdowns on 16.7% of their drives, which was half of the team's rate from Weeks 1 through 5. Philadelphia's defense ranks 10th in fewest points allowed per drive. -- Ben Baby

Stat to know: Since 2022, the Eagles' A.J. Brown and Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase are among the top four receivers in receiving yards after contact. Chase leads with 452; Brown has 394.

Bold prediction: The Bengals will win by more than seven points. Cincinnati has by far the best passing offense in this game -- it ranks fifth in EPA per dropback -- and that's the most important facet to dominate. Plus, I'm going to need more than a blowout over the Giants to be convinced by the Eagles again. -- Walder

Injuries: Eagles | Bengals

Fantasy X factor: Bengals QB Joe Burrow. He started the season with 8.0 fantasy points in Week 1 against the Patriots. Since then, he has averaged 21.2 fantasy points per game. The Eagles' defense held Daniel Jones to 5.9 points in Week 7 and Deshaun Watson to 8.4 in Week 6, but it will face a tougher challenge against Burrow, Chase and Tee Higgins. See Week 8 rankings. -- Moody

Betting nugget: The Eagles are 8-1 ATS in their past nine games when the spread closes between plus-3 and minus-3. Read more.

Kahler's pick: Bengals 24, Eagles 20
Moody's pick: Eagles 31, Bengals 27
Walder's pick: Bengals 30, Eagles 21
FPI prediction: PHI, 55.8% (by an average of 1.9 points)

‘Real chance’ Tee Higgins misses Sunday’s game: Report

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Bengals could very well be without wide receiver Tee Higgins on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

Higgins injured his quad in Friday’s practice and might miss the game against the Eagles, the ESPN reporter wrote on X Saturday.

"The Bengals are planning to go right up until game time before deciding, but there’s pessimism about his chances to play," Graziano said.

The Bengals and Eagles kick off from Paycor Stadium at 1 p.m. Sunday.

So I know this fanbase refuses to recognize obvious and well known  nfl realities, like when the entire weeks gameplay. Play reps. And personel changes are thrown out the window on a Friday you’re offense is totally fucked because you typically don’t use any plays you didn’t get the reps and walkthrough in on.

tee being out is about to ruin all of our sundays unless Jamarr can overcome the double teams or the run game can control the game. We are fucked.

can Joe run for 75 yards today? Can the defense score or keep them under 20 points?

It’s not ideal to have Tee out again, but I don’t think we’re doomed.  They played well without him in KC so it can be done.   The tight ends need to get more involved and I’m hoping they give Burton some chances.  This game still comes down to the defense and whether they can slow down Barkley.

That’s because we knew he was out and game planned for it. We had reps of the game plan without tee for the week.

we don’t have that. Plus we don’t have reps with the replacement players in those plays.

nothing about that is the same. If the rep didn’t happen in the last 6 days the play may as well not exist.

Whose decision was it to trash the week's gameplans instead of finding some role for a star player that had been questionable all week, or adjusting for a late scratch ? Who is responsible for finding durable players? Who expects a stable of midround rookies to hit the ground running in the NFL? Who is responsible for getting all these guys prepared & keeping them healthy?

That seems like a long list of people who are what, entirely blameless? The absolute best person they can get, at least?

Other than that though, yeah. Those 2 + Hendrickson can't carry everyone.

Hate it but if they're done negotiating with Higgins they should move him. Writing is on the wall for this season. Can't open 1-3 before the first division game in the AFCN and expect to go anywhere. I'd like to see them act like they know it too 🙈
