I could live with paying an extra 50 cents if it meant Alaska was protected, South Texas got cleaned up & we never saw another Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. A bunch of subsidies & incentives that providers were getting for investing in renewables or improving their infrastructure got cut. Probably going to see more blackouts, water outages (Flint, MI comes to mind), shit like that. But hey, without all the environmental & workplace safety "red tape" I'm sure it'll all even out, right? Those companies will keep passing their savings on to the consumer without being forced, right? Certainly won't result in more accidents like the East Palestine fire instead. 1 Quote
