We need a guy who can reliably convert short yardage and goal line situations to complement Brown. And perhaps a FB type. Herbert barely got on the field until after Brown was hurt. Quote
Jackie Treehorn Posted February 19 Report Posted February 19 https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25158795-nfl-insiders-joey-bosa-likely-be-cut-chargers-set-make-2536m-2025 Potential pickup for Bengals? He would be a very good complimentary rusher if healthy and great if he could find some old form. Plus him and Burrow are buddies which doesn't hurt anything. 1 Quote
sparky151 Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 Joey Bosa can't stay healthy and is well past his prime. Pass. If we were going to sign one of the Chargers edge rushers from last year, Khalil Mack on a 1 year deal would be wiser, even though he's older than Bosa. 1 Quote

Bosa's body is breaking down... he's hurt way too much. I would consider Preston Smith on a one-year deal. No kid, but can still play and the new Bengals' DL coach has worked with him previously. That said, I'd also consider DeMarcus Lawrence if he comes available - which he might. Dallas has a new DC and I believe DL's deal is over. Had injury issues last year but early in 2024 before he got hurt, was still playing well. He doesn't have a big history with injuries. Great run defender, very physical player, and he brings pass rush juice too. A tone setter. Quote
