Jason
Did Gresham get hurt? I thought I heard a blurb in the post game show but only part of it.
|Numbers|
No idea. When I'm there at the game it's so easy to stay on top of those things. Unfortunately, I was not there. Bengal Ken , Scharm, or maybe Amish had a good view. Someone will chime in here shortly.
|Tigers Johnson|
I don't think so.... I think he meant to say Eifert
unleashed
He got up after a play kind of limping off the field, but it didn't look like anything serious. He seemed like a non factor in the game before the injury anyways. Really surprised he hasn't made more of an impact since it's a contract year and Eifert isn't there taking any catches away from him.
|Bunghole|
Gresham, injured or not, needs to quit being the fucking invisible man. We have all seen what he can do when he gets pissed and goes into beast mode (aside from stupid penalties, of course). If Hue can't motivate him to be the star that he should be then I don't know if he will ever be more than he is. I grant that the Bengals traditionally haven't asked a lot from their TE's in the passing game, but we expended two first round picks on TE's in recent years for a reason, and that reason isn't just to block. In Eifert's absence, Gresham needs to stand up, be vocal and get his aggressiveness into the game.
|schotzee|
One good thing is, he will be able to be signed back on the cheap .
SnickyCat
One good thing is, he will be able to be signed back on the cheap .If they even want him back because I'm not so sure they do.
Bgal
I think the coaches like Gresham. I see him making some nice blocks out there. Hopefully they keep him for a good price.
BengalsOwn
If they even want him back because I'm not so sure they do. I think the bigger issue is that Gresham isn't going to want to come back here.
|High School Harry|
Maybe Andy can teach Gresham to square up and take an interception away from a defensive back and run it into the end zone for a score.
ThurmanMunster
If they even want him back because I'm not so sure they do. the coaches love him, but they use him as a big time blocker and more of a safety valve than they do deep much. He was wide open deep down the seam today but Dalton had to throw it early because of pressure.
gatorclaws
He was hurt but nothing serious. He came off for a few plays and the doctor examined his foot/leg, but then was cleared to go back out.
happyrid
Gresham actually had a pretty good game today. Made some really nice blocks and didn't have any stupid penalties. There were a couple times where they put him in motion and he ended up playing almost like a FB and got nice blocks in the hole to spring Gio for good gains. The Left Hand of Frerotte
If you want to say there's been one area where we really haven't "met" expectations, it's been with our TE's. Investing two firsts on two physical TE's really hasn't blossomed at all yet (after being under utilized under Gruden). Obviously Eifert has been injured, but Gresham still remains invisible on passing attempts.
Orange 'n Black
They haven't yet run the TE screen to Gresham, which is one of my favorite plays. I love watching him truck DBs half his size. You have to think that makes its way back into the game plan for the Pats.
Sigfox09
Gresham is somewhat quite in the passing game, but he is a very effective blocker, which cant be understated. He is a big part of running game.
