If he was on a division rival's team, he'd be guilty right off the bat. I guess this all comes down to one's views on profiling someone based on their past. I'm more of the "Oh shit, here we go again" in my mind, but also looking at the whole situation and saying "Before we burn this person let the situation play out and all the facts to be revealed. Then make a final determination." Making an initial observation of a person / situation based on history / the past is human nature and everyone does it. If they say they don't they're lying. But, part of being human also is giving people the opportunity to show that they've learned from their mistakes and giving them a say in their defense. I don't think saying "hold on let the person give their side" is defending that person in any way. You're only giving that person an opportunity to defend themselves. Before I call for the person to be cut, etc. I want to know what occurred and not call for it before said player / person has had an opportunity to defend themselves. Didn't we just have this same thread 3 weeks ago with Henry?????????? I believe it was Soundwave that elected to blame the media for a false report and causing him to go all "cut his ass" instead of maning up and saying "I, like the media, jumped the gun." I guess it boils down to allowing the situation to flesh itself out before making a determination or drawing a conclusion before all the facts are in. If I misunderstood, I apologize. I just don't think it's too humorous to assume everything is racist and it minimizes the cases where racism does exist. Oversaturation of the word eventually makes one immune. All Bengal fans should be drinking during the games, especially the players moms. I use it as a tranquilizer when Shayne makes a tackle or gets knocked on his ass. He got the DUI thats it. He has been in the wrong place only that time. The drug tests just have to do with him being too stupid to show up for them.
