Arkansas Bengal
Fuck Billick--I will NEVER forgive him for running up the score against the Bengals. Coslet resigned the next day and the lost decade continued for several more years. I hope the bastard stays unemployed.

Ryan already has earned some respect with the players and so has a leg-up on the competition. The only question with him, ...is he HC material? Ryan may be another Dick Lebeau story (born to be a coordinator). As you have said, ...the HC job is a totally different gig! Inigo Montoya
Wow. One bad season and your toast. I guess the inmates are running the show in Baltimore.
The Ravens' owner was sampling the players to see if Billick had "lost" the locker room as part of his decision to keep or fire Billick. That actually defines letting the inmates run the show. This isn't anything new. Ray-Ray complained after 2005 that he didn't have any big d-linemen to shield him and the Ravens followed suit by drafting Ngata. Not a bad move at all, but a reactionary move that looks like it was done in response to a player's criticism. If I were Ozzie Newsome, I'd want out of town ASAP. Pretty soon the Ravens will be running out of people to blame. And did anyone catch Bisciotti's comments about wanting to hire a HOF coach who was currently out there? Nobody should want to go to a franchise where they'll have limited control over personnel and a meddling owner.

I can't understand the move to fire him then consider him for the job. My only reservation is he is a good DC. Why would they let him get away? I can only reason that if he doesn't take the HC job, they don't want him around when a new HC comes in.
