Thanks 1181 !

I am taking a break, and thought I would check in.

Our cable and internet is supposed to be hooked up tomorrow morning.
So I guess I'll check back in then.

f:

Old...are you staying up north? I know in the midst of all of the turbulence you dealt with this year you had mentioned moving back to the Cincinnati area. Just curious.

INDIANAPOLIS -- As we drove into Indy, you could see Lucas Oil Stadium dwarfing the former RCA Dome. THe place just loks cool. And huge.

Got it and took the elevator up to the press box -- we're the highst seat in the joint, and that's saying something.

Was told it's very much like Ford Field in Detroit.

I have my binoculars and the field is still pretty far away.

Rudi Johnson is running sprints.

Carson Palmer is out on the field, with his nose piece on.
ctrent has a bunch of pictures of the new Colts stadium in his blog for those interested: http://www.thelotd.com/ctrent

I'm rooting for the offense and J-Palm.

Interested to see what Rudrick Johnson does with the ball, as they've been trying to get rid of him before they drafted him, and John Clayton says he looks like an addonis. Maybe 32 can make them keep him, or get something for him...maybe a room full of coked up hookers, not that he knows anything about that.

Jerome Sampson should be playin the whole game. I'm looking for a big night outta that kid.

On the defensive side of the ball I expect Total Domination.

Bold prediction time lads...

INDIANAPOLIS -- OK, here are your folks who the Bengals report will not play:

Carson Palmer

Dexter Jackson

Chinedum Ndukwe

Dan Howell

Dan Santucci

Willie Anderson

Chad Johnson

Andre Caldwell

Matt Sherry

Pat Sims

Lineup changes:

Glenn Holt and Antonio Chatman are listed as the starting WR

Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB

Jeremi Johnson at FB

Chris Perry at RB

Frostee Rucker at RDE

Darryl Blackstock at SLB

Keith Rivers at WLB

Corey Lynch at SS

Also noted:

Daniel Coats was warming up with the tight ends. That could be a sign of the experiment with him at fullback could be over.

Antwan Odom is expected to dress -- hey may not play, but is scheduled to dress.

* Absolutely zero Colts starters are starting.

* The window and roof are open.

I'd really like to see our almost first team defense destroy the Colts' 4th team offense. I know it means nothing, but it would make me feel good inside.
I want to see every healthy rookie play atleast 3 quarters, including simpson and shirley to get some first team snaps just to see how it goes. As for the O-line, despite how some play the 4th game, I want to see the starting Oline get at least 3 series so that they can work on some things and regain some confidence, even if they are playing against backups.
Debuts in the finale
By GEOFF HOBSON
August 28, 2008

Updated: 6:45 p.m.
INDIANAPOLIS - It took a month since practice began, but wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and running back Rudi Johnson could make their 2008 debuts in the Bengals preseason finale here at the new and sprawling Lucas Oil Stadium.

But they weren't in the starting lineup and it was questionable whether Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) would even play even though he said he felt fine after the last practice.

While the Colts fielded none of their starters, the Bengals were scheduled to line up 15.

Antonio Chatman and Chris Perry got the respective starts again at receiver and running back with backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick running things in place of Carson Palmer. But getting his first start of the preseason was fullback Jeremi Johnson in his second game since coming off the non-football injury list with a weight problem.

Sixth-round pick Corey Lynch, ending an active preseason, got the start in place of injured strong safety Dexter Jackson, out with a sprained ankle that isn't expected to ice him for the Sept. 7 regular-season opener.

Starting SAM linebacker Rashad Jeanty (leg) was also scheduled to play for the first time this season, but if he does he'll do it coming off the bench for Darryl Blackstock. Right end Antwan Odom (foot) dressed for his first game but isn't expected to play and Frostee Rucker got his first start of the preseason in his place.

Also expected to make his season debut was wide receiver Chris Henry, signed nine days ago but not eligible for the 53-man roster until Week 5 because of an NFL suspension.

Backup right tackle Willie Anderson got the night off after the short week. Also out were injured safety Chinedum Ndukwe (knee), linebacker Dan Howell (foot), center Dan Santucci (ankle), wide receivers Chad Johnson (shoulder) and Andre Caldwell (foot), tight end Matt Sherry (shoulder) and defensive tackle Pat Sims (toe).

Never mind that the Bengals didn't see Colts Pro Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning. They didn't even see backup quarterback Jim Sorgi. Someone named Quinn Gray, a fifth-year 254-pounder out of Florida A&M, got the start.

The Colts must be doing something right. Since 2005 they haven't lost a regular-season game before Nov. 1. In that same stretch they are 3-13 in the preseason.
