High Boltage: Colts n Bengals DOOMED!

Recommended Posts

 Sorry but I am bragging. The colts are GOING TO LOSE to the Chargers in the Playoffs AGAIN and the Boltz finally hoist that Lombardi. Rivers MVP. LT is the best all time, Gates owns all DB's Safeties, corners, LB's and anyone else you put on em. Lights out and Phillips will bust your chinstrap off ya helmet. Cromartie will 1 hand pick you juke all 53 men on your roster, crush a cup of gatorade n high step to the house while somehow doing the stanky leg and harlem shake at the same time then reach into his jersey like a magician and set free a Giant flock of Crows that fly over to an out of breath OchoCinco and drop a flocks worth of steamers on his sombrero he had on the sideline in case he got lucky n scored. Damn that was a nice hat to... ah well. :machinegunyellow: . Rivers will shotput the ball for 400 yards plus while singing sweet home alabama n beeeitch slappin the entire front 3 rows of the opposing teams fans Warn the next 12 rows that they can get the taste slapped out they mouth, go home, screw his wife and pump out his like 17th kid. COLTS PEYTON WOMANNING will relive his 6 int performance in 07 against the bolts in the 09 playoffs. The Bengals should just be happy to be fortunate enough to get the CHANCE to play the Bolts in the playoffs. For them they gets a doubley doce of Charger power and will undoubtedly get swept into the obliviion that is the 2010 offseason. Chad OchoBlanko is going to get doubled and shut down. Then all we have to worry about is.... is... um mm... dang... oh I know that one guy... had that TV show in the 80's... no not WKRP... umm BENSON?? Ya thats it Cedric Benson is the unfortunate butler turned NFL player that will ironically be getting served shoulder pads and kentucky bluegrass potentially TWICE. AH well at least he'll get a nice view of that Winter time San Diego Sky from his back. Then again the view may be obstructed with Shaun Phillips Shawne Merriman Luis Castillo n Co on top of him....shucks well he can always go to Pacific Beach after the game. Get a massage cruise the beach and drown his sorrows in 2 dollar Pints at PB bar N Grill. Then again he has to catch that flight back to that winter wonderland somewhere nestled deep in the armpit of America called Ohio. Border Patrol defense is stopping fools like an illegal alien with no papers in La Jolla wearing a soaking wet shirt that says I love Tijuana on it.
The Los Angeles Chargers?

Here's a topic we've yet to delve into at Bolts From The Blue, the possibility of a move out of San Diego for the Chargers. I'll start by saying I'm no expert on the topic. Similar to what happened with Petco Park, I'm only really aware of when there are big status changes like "Prop C was passed", "Construction has stopped" and "Construction has started." In the past few days I went searching for some answers, with the biggest one being "Will the Chargers stay in San Diego?", and was a little shocked at what I found.

Let's start with the city of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Chargers were established in 1959, owned by Paris Hilton's grandfather, playing one full season before moving to San Diego. So in those 2009 AFL legacy games the team will still be called the San Diego Chargers (unlike the Chiefs and Jets, who will be the Texans and Titans), but we'll actually be remembering their year spent as the Los Angeles Chargers. So even if it's for one year, the team has some historical roots there.

This man is Edward P. Roski, part-Owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Kings. He's somebody that you may want to get familiar with

Mr. Roski is looking to make a similar deal with an NFL team. He will provide the land and build the stadium to allow a team to move to Los Angeles but will ask to become part-Owner of whichever team that partners with him. Don't think he's serious? Oh, he's serious:

"Edward P. Roski has announced plans for the stadium on the northern side of the interchange of routes 57 and 60 (almost 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles) with the purpose of attracting a NFL team to the Los Angeles region. Roski, who built the Staples Center, stated that the new 75,000-seat stadium would be privately financed and would be the centerpiece of a new entertainment complex in Industry."

That's right. The man has started the process of building a brand new stadium in the middle of the second largest market in the country. Do you think that may be enticing to the Chargers? They could escape their horrible lease with the city and the weekly worry of "Will we get blacked out?" to move to a market that ensures a sell out every game if the team is competitive. On top of that, coaches and players will be itching to be a part of the only team in Hollywood's backyard so that they could create other careers, become superstars and grab big endorsement deals.

Too bad San Diego doesn't have as many fans as passionate about their team as you are. By the way, is the game gonna be blacked-out locally or not? It won't matter to you, of course, since you've bought tickets to see your team and will be sitting at the Murph enjoying your self-professed seed-clinching performance. You *do* have tickets, yes? I understand there are a lot available.

For the record, Los Angeles has a group actively seeking to woo a team to relocate there for the 2011 season - although 2010 remains a remote possibility. The leading candidate is, of course, the Chargers:

Linky: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/chargers-considering-los-angeles.html
The NFL is willing to consider a return to its Los Angeles roots.

Evidently, so are the San Diego Chargers.

While the league is kicking around the notion of playing the 50th Super Bowl in L.A. -- where the first one took place -- the onetime L.A. Chargers appear to be inching closer to a possible return to their birthplace.

But more smoke signals came Monday when the Chargers signed a deal with Los Angeles-based Wasserman Media Group to market the franchise in L.A. and Orange County, a development that surely will be viewed by some as greasing the skids for a move north. There hasn't been a team in the L.A. area since the Raiders and Rams left after the 1994 season."The bottom line is Los Angeles and Orange County are two of the most lucrative markets in the world," said Mark Fabiani, the team's point man on stadium issues. "There's no NFL team in those markets, and there's no reason the Chargers can't pursue those areas in these difficult economic times."

Possible motivations aside, this much is clear: The Chargers, who have been working on a San Diego stadium solution for seven years and so far have been unsuccessful, are better positioned to move than any other NFL team.

Beginning on Super Bowl Sunday -- of all days -- the Chargers will have a three-month window in which to relocate. And, under the team's current lease terms with the city of San Diego, that window will reopen every year from this point forward. The city cannot sue the Chargers or the NFL to block a move, provided it is paid a $56-million lease-termination fee that will decrease over time.

"We're definitely a lot closer to the end of this process than the beginning," said Fabiani, adding that the club has spent $10 million to fully explore stadium options around San Diego County, most recently two sites in Chula Vista. "This is not a process that can go on forever."

At stake for the Chargers is the head start they have over other NFL franchises that also are likely to be mulling relocation. The Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings, for instance, are bound to their cities through the 2011 season. If ever a team were poised to make a jump into the Los Angeles market, it would be now. And the team with the early advantage over all other franchises that might court LA is the Chargers... an advantage they lose if they don't move by 2010 or 2011.

Coming soon to a sports section near you, "The Los Angeles Chargers".
I was thinking about that pompous ass too while looking at all of those fans at the game who thought that game was just a formality. Hilarious. I actually like the chargers except for Rivers and that SuperDolt.
