AmishBengalFan
For the image-impaired: The Cincy Zoo is getting new tigers, and season ticket holders are being asked to select a name. This week - nominations. Next week - voting on finalists. Cricket
Well, I did win a "name the baby gorilla" contest at the zoo several years ago. Won a family season pass to the zoo and a bunch of Tide. Winning name: Hodari (Swahili for "brave"). [Edit: Born in 1995. Just did a search (out of curiosity) and discovered that he is now at the Milwaukee County Zoo.]

I picked the name Jayendra ( Lord of Victory ) but Devaraja ( King of Gods ) would also work.

Le Tigre
The first suggestion by Amish is the only consideration IMO. Or:Tony.
I would also say Benzoo, IF they allowed the Bengal to actually come to the game. Allowing fans a live mascot may not be PC anymore but the enjoyment of seeing the tiger cub grow and possibly eat a Steeler or two may not be such a bad idea...
I believe you are correct. But there were also years when there was just one. I remember them trotting out two at a time some seasons. They were always little cubs, so I suppose it depended on how may litters were produced at the zoo the winter before. They gave them royal numbers too. I always Lol'd when the PA announcer would conclude their introduction with: "All hail Benzoo VI" or whatever. Hilarious.

I can remember very little from the announcer during those days. It is odd that it took two Kinders to replace one. I do wish we could put the live animals back on the field. If we can't do that can we get a PETA representative to be in the cage as a symbol ? Either would be quite acceptable. Perhaps they might even find a way to bring Taz out in a cage with animal trainers by his side with whips...
