Nobody watched the edges vs Texas.

Or the right flat.

I don't trust Murphy at all.

Would rather see more Ossai.

Why?

Murphy has shown signs.

Ossai nothint to date.

I'm assuming we'll see who's who with more reps for both against the Rats.

It has to be said out loud:

Back in the pre-St.Joseph years—and really in the Quitter through Andy/Marvin times—we used an overused phrase/question:

“Is this game a Must Win?”

For a number of scenarios, this one really is. Go to 5-5 with 7 left isn’t elimination in and of itself. However it would put the Bengals 2 games out of first, 0-2 against the Rats, 0-3 in the division, and 1-5 in the AFC.

They currently are 8 in the Playoff Standings. Outside of the Division leaders (which likely will not change), they would have to jump CFT, HOU (each with a game in hand on them) and the Stealers. Not ruling out any late season surges by LAC/BUF/IND…that’s a lot of traffic to go through simply to even get in.

Mixed in with a rise in injuries on both sides of the ball, makes a surge of their own more difficult.

How many more losses could they absorb, and still get there?

Lots of football to be played…as another old overused phrase goes.
