Joke aside, I'm going to ask. Who is the "Eric Stienbach" or "Kevin Zeitler" on this O-line?

We prioritize pass blocking to protect Joe, as we should, but we don't have anyone on the O-line that is a mauler and physical in the run game. How difficult is it to find one guy that can do both?

^ In some ways the Bengals play with 4 OTs and a C and no G's.

Volson was a 6'7 OT in college. Cappa is built like an OT at 6'6. Karras is your only squatty guy and even he is 6'4.

I think the Bengals see size and length as a requirement for OL, which means they don't even look at the 6'2 bowling ball type Gs. They look for OTs who they can play at G.

Sure but I'm not sure size prevents the ability to run block.

It kind of does though. Height is an advantage for pass blocking (usually correlates to longer arms), but it is typically a detriment in run blocking.

Mims and OBj are "Dancing Bears" (my favorite type of OL) but that means they have good back pedals and swift feet. For run blocking, you need the opposite: big wide butts, thicker legs and calves, and a lower center of gravity.

OBJ is 6'8, 345

Zeitler is 6'4 332

2 inches and 13lbs is not that much of a difference

They got to find a Zeitler type OG or two preferably

That actually looks kinda cool.  Is that permanent or does it retract along those support wires running from the "seam" of the football? (paywalled)

Wish I knew man, I honestly just posted because I too thought it looked cool lol

For one billion United States dollars it damn well should.  I expect solar panels and a bouncy castle/observation deck at the apex.
