True of every position in the draft, which is why good teams try not to count on draft picks to start at key roster spots unless they're meant to be a franchise QB.

Yep - could be Latu. Think that neck injury he had could scare teams away and he’s older.

 

Going to be quite a few good names sitting around at our spot if the quarterbacks keep flying up the board.

Whichever GM drafts Penix before Rd 3 should be fired on the spot. Your overall point still stands.

That is simply not true.  75% of first round WRs end up being good players. It is the easiest position to draft.
