Ja'Marr is fooling himself if he's expecting the Bengals to guarantee 100 mil to him.

I misspoke by saying "guaranteed," but meant over 100 million $ total contract. But the point still stands. They are going to have to pay Ja'Marr now if they want him this season. They cannot expect him to play without a new deal.

Seeing Mims and Trent together you realize just how rare of a specimen Mims is.

They are only 15 lbs apart on paper (350 vs 365), but Trent looks about 40-50 lbs heavier and very top heavy in comparison.

The big fear here is that TBrown may actually be 40-50 pounds heavier right now. His weight has ballooned up more than once over the course of his career.

This is something that alot of young QBs coming into the league end up adjusting once they are injured. I suspect the Joe who had no problem taking a sack is going to adjust and the sacks that were his fault because he wanted to make a play are going to go down dramatically.

Jefferson did get over 100 mil guaranteed. But he was going into the final year of his rookie deal. Bengals may make Chase wait another year for his extension. If so, he won't be holding out any more than JJ did last year.

Saying the Bengals have a deep roster is a stretch. It would mean backups pushing starters in every position group and no obvious roster holes. I wouldn't describe the roster that way, but then I'm not paid by the team to say stuff like that.

Deep at QB and WR.  Maybe the DL if the last 2 drafts were worthwhile. RB is probably adequate.

Not seeing this supposed depth either, at least in terms of "where would losing a starter not be likely to cost them games?"

I'm sure there will be spirited competition for backup positions before they are awarded based on drafting and salary. :ninja:

Trent Brown looks Sam Adams-sized. Not a good thing.

Nah not even close. By the time he signed with the Bengals he was almost as wide as he was tall.

Not really seeing it here TBH. Just looks like an average NFL OT to me. They're typically not lean individuals.
