Collins and Dennis Roland for one...

Quote

Dennis Roland, the 6-9 man mountain who played in his fourth NFL game Sunday in Green Bay, not only played as an extra tight end against the Packers, he also rotated with Anthony Collins at the right tackle spot.

Another brilliant plan from the unfathomable mind of Bratkowski..   Oh does that sound like a bad idea? He was just about to say that.

"Man mountain" :grin-min:   More like Rumpke Mountain.  Hyping up shitty OT's is like a Bengals FO tradition.

That doesn't look appetizing at all.  I always thought Skyline was a little watery.  I preferred Gold Star between

the 2 but a couple of the mom and pop places had some good chili as well.

honestly same as the chains go but Camp Washington or Price Hill were always preferable for me, by a long shot

I grew up between Price Hill and Covedale.  Just west of what's now called, "West" Price Hill now I guess.  There was a

mom and pop chili parlor somewhere on Glenway Avenue that I seem to recall but I'm going back 50 years and can't

remember the name.  😕

Price Hill Chili is on Glenway & they've been in biz since 1962, but I'm sure many have come & gone around there

So when (not if) Trent Brown goes down, will we see Jaxon Kirkland?

I hope so.  I mean, I hope I hope so.

Would love to see him kick some defensive ass.

Mims is ahead of Kirkland. If Mims is healthy enough to play on Sunday, then I expect Kirkland to be an inactive. In that scenario the 3 backup OL would likely be Mims/Ford/Lee.

Now that the league has allowed for an additional 3rd helmet, the Bengals should do the inverted one that is black and orange stripes then do a "Black out" and make the whole week to the Stone song "Paint it black"

At the start of training camp, the coaches were talking about a bunch of different players might replace all of Boyd's snaps in the slot. Paul Dehner believes that might not be the thinking anymore. Article excerpt from The Athletic:

Time to buy Andrei Iosivas stock is now

One year ago, very few people knew who Andrei Iosivas was, much less how to pronounce his name (YO-see-vahsh). After an offseason where all the All-America heptathlete talent came together with an understanding of the position, the entire NFL world is about to be well aware of the Ivy League phenom.

He might be the most interesting new piece of the Bengals’ offensive puzzle even though he was on the team last year, catching 15 passes for 116 yards and four touchdowns. From the moment the Bengals tried him out in the slot on the first day of training camp, he delivered in a way that solidified him as WR3 behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

He’s thrived, regularly beating nickelback Mike Hilton in practices, and produced the biggest play in the lone drive for the first team in preseason, a 23-yard crosser out of the slot against Tampa Bay.

“They played man-to-man,” he said. “If I’m running across the field, I am probably going to outrun you.”

He’s listed at 6-3, 205, but his 4.43 speed creates a unique profile as an inside-outside weapon the Bengals have had running with the starting group, primarily in the slot, throughout the offseason and training camp. His transition came with an Ivy League approach. He’s been making requests of the video staff. He requested cut-ups of Keenan Allen (6-2, 211) and Larry Fitzgerald  (6-3, 218) as he sought to replicate some of the best big-body slots in the history of the game.

“Guys in the slot that have been Hall of Fame guys, and also (Tyler Boyd),” Iosivas said. “Keenan and Larry are both bigger dudes, if I can play to that skill set and see what works for them, I can try to incorporate it into my game as well.”

Last year’s fourth-round pick Charlie Jones has drawn praise as well, but most first-team snaps and attention from quarterback Joe Burrow have gone to Iosivas.

I’ll be intrigued to see his exact snap count in the opener against New England, but I’d be shocked if it fell below 70 percent. Chase-Higgins-Iosivas-Mike Gesicki is the 11 personnel receiver combination of choice.

Expectations are soaring for a Year 2 breakout.

I'm thinking Mims won't be thrown into the mix while still injured.

Lee is not an OT and Ford erratic at best.

Kirkland looked good in preseason.

Every reason to believe that the experienced Ford is currently ahead of Kirkland on the depth chart, both at tackle and guard.

Once he's healthy, Mims will get quite a few snaps at RT in addition to any as a 6th man in jumbo formations. Brown isn't an ironman and is only signed for this year, while Mims showed lots of promise before his injury. So the team wants to develop him as quickly as possible.
