Just a displaced buckeye here. Not a brit. Homesick for Buckeyes and Bengal football, Cincy chili, White Castle, and Big Boys with extra tartare sauce.

Love me some fish and chips too though. But I'd rather chew on a shoe that eat the beef here. Not that there is much difference.

Though the big two (Skyline and GoldStar) are noticably different from one another, both are so significantly different when compared to other chili types that many, many people can't honestly tell the difference. To most, it's like asking saying "do you prefer ecru or egg-shell as your favorite off-white color?"

I like 'em both, but I prefer GoldStar because of their sponsorship tie-in with the Stripes.

Well I found myself at gold star the other weekend getting a couple of the bengals glasses witch are TITS! there is no mention of gold star on them! unlike years past where they ruin a perfectly good piece of bengals memorabelia with the logo of the shittiest chili in town. That being said the fiance and I decided to get a couple of combo meals. Neither of us have had gold star in years (due to the fact that it sucks by comparison to Skyline) so we said fuck it lets give it another try....Guess what? gold star STILL SUCKS ASS! anyone who says otherwise is not a true Cincinnatian and has no taste for what Cincinnati chili should tatse like.

We have neither Gold Star nor Skyline here in Amish country, and the Covington Gold Star has a convenient drive through -- my horse is too tall to fit under the Skyline drivethru awning. I got one with a combo and bought an extra for ABF Jr.

Those Gold Star glasses are nice. Even though they duped me into eating their inferior chili. Next time I'll just buy the glasses buy themselves. They especially look cool with the orange stripes on a Guinness background.

i had camp washington chili last night, it's fucking awsome. it was voted #4 in maxim magazine as the 4th coolest place for a 24 hrs. restaurant. their open 24 hrs. except their closed on sundays.
