Who you got ?
It's funny...I was thinking on the train this morning about starting a thread similar to this when I got to work. Guys that the team's success could hinge on who wouldn't necessarily be considered "top line" or slam dunk contributors. Anyway, mine were Sims, Ghiaciuc, and whichever end makes it as the third guy in the DE rotation - either Fanene or Rucker
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671828 I saw enough in limited play last year that I think Marvin White could be a supprise guy.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671829 Tough question. Most of the guys I think of could just as easily not make the team. Fanene, Rucker, Perry, Brooks, and Kilmer all pop into my head, but will injury issues resolve? I like Rivers, Sims, and the new receivers, but how much can you expect from rookies? I guess I'll say Marvin White, but any of those guys could really come out and shine.

I sure hope he stays healthy because I think he'll be lights out on the field. I wish I was reading more about Ghiaciuc looking bigger, stronger, faster, and a fixture in the film room... Or have those articles been written, and I just haven't read them?

June 10, 200817 yr comment_671848 3-D Hopefully he makes the team on ST's then breaks way into 10 carries a game. Dede is the kind of guy that could change games and i hope we hold onto him. Other then that, i think Lynch could be a nasty third safety and Chinedum will thrive in the starters role. Oh can't forget Andre Caldwell. He will gain a lot of playing time due to his run blocking and will become a hella good medium gain pass catcher.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671849 Leon Hall... Pro Bowl CB and Darryl Blackstock... surprise LB starter! What the hell... we aren't paying to project!
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671858 Any and every rookie that the "Chickster" doesn't write/blog about from now until September 7th.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671877 Hmmm...Surprises. O - Reggie Kelly will catch more passes than anyone expects. D - Dhani Jones will not waver leading the D ST - Kyries Hebert will force fumbles in Kick Coverage.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671878 I'm really digging the bond Utecht and Palmer are creating, and think he may pull down a 45 + catch season. If Coats wins the FB job and Brat gets creative, he could become a passing threat out of the backfield and help disguise run/pass plays. A healthy Perry will be a huge asset too. On teams, I really think Blackstock and Lynch are going to shine along with a returning Kilmer. I like the tandem of Dorsey and Caldwell that they've been working with on kick returns. Finally, if he can stay healthy, I still think Brooks can be a monster on D.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671887 Nate Livings busts into the starting lineup at center and dominates. I have went back and watched 3 games from last season in the last 2 days. It's amazing how weak Ghiaciuc looked. Shaun Smith the Hamburglar even threw him around. I hope Ghiaciuc comes around, but I have my doubts.

He's a real sleeper who caould make it .I'm looking for a better, more stable special teams this year. However,I don't see any solution yet to the K/O P/R team.Simmons is an under appreciated ST coach.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671913
Eric Henderson
I think it depends on how they use him. If they plan to move him around, which I think they will (which is part of why I had him in my core 20) I think he can cause a lot of havoc along with Brooks. If they strictly keep him at DE though, I don't know that he'll be as impactful.
June 10, 200817 yr comment_671922 Two from each: Offense - Maxwell and Dorsey Defense - Marvin White and Fanene STs - Caldwell (gunner and returner) and Lynch

June 11, 200817 yr Author comment_671972 You guys are awesome.I completely overlooked Maxwell and Henderson.Maxwell makes sense. This year looks like the one to roll over the receiving corps.Henderson is going to excel. He could be a real diamond in the rough. If he makes it then I assume Rucker will be questionable. Two good players, imo.Rucker has more experience though.

June 11, 200817 yr comment_671976 I'd like kenny to see the field...if he does, he's my impact dude. If not, than ima roll with Fat Dieon.

I thought he was back at OLB . I thought he would have a though time beating out Jeanty & Blackstock. Not sure how they have Fanene listed but I would take Rucker & Fanene over Henderson. Assuming Geathers & Odom are the starters.
