Rumors swirling that he could be a Giant. That's a solid fit right there. Wouldn't make any sense to bring him here.

Not in a million years would I do that. Tony is aging and would only help us for a couple of seasons. This season is lost already, so this season would be a complete waste to have him. If they trade Chad, they will need draft picks for him and with his performance this year, it won't be near what was offered in the offseason.

I don't blame the guy for wanting to be traded to a contender.

I strongly believe Utecht is unused, not incapable. I would not make the trade.

I'm not opposed to trading Chad for the right deal, but why on earth would we make that deal? Gonzo's about 2 years from retiring, if that.

I'm all for trading Chad, but its got to either be for draft picks, or for a player at a position of need, which TE isn't.

ESPN reported TONY asked to be traded to a team that was in CONTENTION.

That certainly is NOT the Bengals.

seems rather lopsided... id prefer to trade ochoc for high picks and keep utecht, id rather palmer be throwing 4 yards to a chad johnson than to any TE on the planet.

thats not even remotely a good fit, this season is over with and tonys only got one or 2 left in the tank

id rather try and swap chad for roy williams if the lions are interested

Agreed it seems a lopsided trade at this point.

But rather than create another thread, I'll ask this.

If Chad only ends up with like 500 yards this season, what will that do to his trade value?

No way ! It's simple. When Carson gets time to throw,whbich hasn't bewnn recently, Chad and TJ are two of the best receivers in the league. Chad hasn't lost it. Neither has TJ lost it. It's the OL that can no longer protect the QB. Chad for Tony ? Can't see it.

Tony turn 74 next year.

Who is going to give us a 1st round pick for Chad Johnson? He is now 30 years old, his numbers are declining, and he's the same pain in the ass prima-donna he's always been. We should have dealt him last year when the Redskins offered a 1st. I guarantee we won't get that kind of offer this year.
