Or how bout Wallace ray Rice and Jackson. Now that would be the ultimate f you

It would make up for the 90s in my book. NFL network would be doing TV shows about it, Mike Brown would be Times most interesting man of the year after the Bengals won the super bowl. There would be so many bandwagon fans Mikes pockets would burst at the seams.

Yeah, to be fair Weston is the 'clings to strange ideas' kind of guy rather than the "Mike Brown ate my Grandma" kind.

Seriously? Dynamite drop in. What do you offer this board other than your continuing worship of Chris Henry. Which I guess is, cool?

I'm with El on this.. I know we as fans tend to think it's all about money, but it's not..

Wallace isn't a great fit in the west coast offense. Rapistburg usually scrambles around for 7 seconds allowing Wallace to get open deep. Wallace runs deep routes. Is prefer another big target like Floyd over Wallace. Plus we give the Steelers a first rounder no thanks.
I think this is an important thought.. Wallace is just a burner.. He isn't a great or what most would even consider good route runner. And a lot of his yards are from broken plays and pump fakes.

I think we'd be better off with a solid possession receiver as our #2...a TJ-ish type player that has great hands and is consistent with getting open and moving the chains, as well as getting the tough yards underneath after the catch. Not sure who's available that fits that mold.

He might already be here....Ryan Whalen. Kid definitely has some game and could make some noise in TC with a full year under his belt. He was as clutch as it gets at Stanford and Luck definitely always knew where he was.

They're talking about it right now on sportscenter.

They make a compelling argument. We sign Mike and give up #21 and some serious cash, but the steelers lose their best offensive player and we now have two guys who just absolutely blow the top off defenses.

Said Baltimore could do it as well.

Adam Schefter thinks Mike Wallace is the most intriguing restricted free agent because the Steelers are cap strapped.

Don't sleep on Shipley either. That kid was the bane of my existence when he was in college, but there was never any denying that he's a heck of a player, assuming he recovers from the injury (& I have no reason to think he won't, he's already done it twice).

The thing I remember most about Shipley is watching him break teams hearts with punt returns for TDs, and score on long TD passes up the seam. Since has been to Cincinnati the don't let him return punts, and he rarely gets passes up the seam. Now the passes up the seam I can't really blame too much on the coaches because most of the time in college when that happens it's due to a safety misreading a play and being out of position, which doesn't happen anywhere near as much in the pros. The punt returning on the other hand, I don't get why the team continues to bring in guys to return punts when they already have a great guy on the team. The spot that Tate took up last year could have been used to keep an extra lineman or linebacker.

Lol and u think MB is willing to give up the money for him?!
Well the Steelers are going to be strapped on how much they can give him due to being over the cap, that means the Bengals wouldn't have to over pay in order to get him. They could offer him a fair deal and then give him the opportunity to twice a year get back at a team that didn't pony up the money to keep him.

It kind of looks like Mike Brown right? With a little more hair of coarse.

Mike wallace is great and all, but all it does it put us $10million plus in the hole, and we give a 1st round draft pick to the steelers.

they'd be picking 21 and 22 if i'm not mistaken.

We get wallace and they get glenn to put next to that probowl Center, no thx.

Find a cheaper FA option.

this isn't a fuck you to the steelers, this ia a "thanks, we'll keep building through the draft like we always do"

We aren't ready to go win a superbowl next year, we need to sit back and draft 2 great 2st round picks and make our move in 2013.

Lumina and maybe he'll do it.
I'd drive a 1999 chevy lumina the rest of my life if it means saving up $200million to buy the rest of my franchise i so dearly love.

Brown is very smart and i expect his cheapness to subside now that he doesn't have to save for a damn thing anymore.
