CTBengalsFan
If the Steelers put a first round tender on him, do we give him a front-loaded contract that Pitt can't match because they're so hard up against the cap? He's young enough and good enough to be worth a first rounder, easy IMO, especially since we have two. He and AJ lining up on opposite sides... Randle P McMurphy
It would be good to see an AFC North rival lose a player. If we addressed another need ie: CB or Guard in FA I guess it'd be good.

oldschooler
BENGALS: The free-agent wide receiver that best fits the Bengals is Buffalo's Steve Johnson, according to CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco. "Jerome Simpson is a free agent and has some legal issues, and they need a weapon opposite A.J. Green," Prisco wrote. "Johnson would be the perfect complement to the taller Green." Hensley's slant: The Bengals need to add a veteran to take over the No. 2 wide receiver role, but I don't think Johnson's personality would mesh in the Cincinnati locker room. Johnson's antics are too reminiscent of Chad Ochocinco. The Bengals waited too long to get rid of one distraction just to add another too soon. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/42491/wake-up-rooney-says-tomlin-hired-haley

I seriously doubt Pitt would let Wallace leave, he's their top reciever. With the change in OC and moving on from Hines Ward, they will do all they can to keep Ben happy and their best wr on the roster. Some teams don't let their best players, see Jonathan Joseph, leave via FA because they realize how important it is to keep those guys around. Jeb
I would go after Arian Foster and give up a 1st to do it. If it can't get done then at least drive up his pricetag.
Jackie Treehorn
I think getting Mike Wallace would be the best case scenario for addressing the WR position. Perfect compliment to Green and severely hurt our biggest rival. Too bad our front office isn't that aggressive. Could you imagine how pissed shittsburgh fans would be if we stole him away? I would be absolutely giddy and any other offseason additions would just be icing on a cake of awesome.
MichaelWeston
This is a pretty deep draft and FA time for the WR position. I think we can get someone in his arena without having to give up a 1st round pick.
MichaelWeston
Elijah posts a real question. Why would you want to leave the Steelers for the Bengals? I'm the number one WR on the Steelers who are a more consistently solid franchise have a QB who has been solid over the long term to be the second WR for an upstart Bengals team who has had recent success but it has been short. I just don't see it.

texbengal
I think it's highly unlikely that Pitt will let Wallace go.. he's just now turning into a complete receiver instead of a bullet that runs by people. His QB is still young... why on earth would they let him leave? And I don't want Stevie Johnson - there are 5 or 6 guys I'd want before him. He's an idiot.
