Stuff like this belongs in a fantasy site, the Bengals don't do shit like this.

It's unfortunate this thread went to a pissing match instead of a place to check on any legit updates on a Chase extension.

I'm sure there will be one or more new threads if he signs

Pretty well over it here but if he doesn't play tomorrow he can go fuck himself AFAIC

There's no guarantee the sun will come up either.

Noah Brown plays WR.  You said he was cut from Houston which is correct.  He was cut when they got Stephon Diggs from Buffalo.

Daron Brown would solve our NT/run stop issues and you could slide Rankins over to the 3 tech.

A new F.O., new coaching regime, rookie QB with a suspect OL makes it highly likely,. (better for you?) it's a top 5 or top 10 pick.

You show me anywhere, anyone has the Commanders doing anything this year.

Trading Chase is an option, a scenario.  He wants Jefferson money but doesn't produce like Jefferson.  He's not

even been able to replicate his rookie season, (1,455 yards), let alone eclipse 1,700-1,800 yards and that's WITH Burrow!

It's a football forum.  You know, to discuss football.  And I don't act like I'm doing anyone a favor by posting here!

And if I disagree with someone, I debate them on it and not resort to name calling, (clown), like a petulant 2nd grader!

That is because the sun does “come up’

I didn't turn it into a pissing match.  If anything, I tried to steer it away from the back and forth monotony

with an OPTION.  A scenario.  All you did was add to the "pissing match," you claim to hate.

I'd like to know what the "guaranteed money," the Bengals offered is/was.  We may never know but apparently

it wasn't the $110 million Jefferson got and certainly not more.

With that being said, Chase has put himself a little behind the 8-ball to start the season as his snaps will

be limited in game 1 as far as "balling out," this season.

Did Alvin Kamara take a jab at Chase in his post game interview yesterday?

Saints running back Alvin Kamara didn’t get the new contract he was looking for this offseason and said last week that it is “too late” to have those conversations.

On Sunday, Kamara showed that the contract issues aren’t impacting him on the field. Kamara ran 15 times for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ 47-10 rout of the Panthers and told reporters after the game that he’s only focused on what happens between the lines.

“I’m not worried about it. I’m here to play. I’m going to play. I’m going to perform. I don’t got no illness. I don’t got no mystery injury. I’m here. You know what I’m saying?

FWIW.....   https://bengalswire.usatoday.com

NFL insider reveals what went wrong between Bengals and Ja'Marr Chase

“They tried Friday night,” Meirov said. “They even tried on Saturday, into Saturday night. And they continued into Sunday morning, actually. They could not bridge the gap. It just was not happening. There were numbers they couldn’t figure out. There was a cashflow issue, there was a year issue, the APY was fine, it would have surpassed Justin Jeferson. But everything else was not there.”

Meirov noted that average annual numbers on the proposed deal were in the $36 million range and speuclated that the number could climb to $40 million by this time next year.

Also important to realize, as Meirov detailed, is that Justin Jefferson went through the exact same thing with the Minnesota Vikings last year before getting his market-resetting contract this offseason.

While we may never get more info than this, it’s notable that Chase and his reps were frustrated with how the Bengals go about extension talks.

And when it comes to a so-called “years” issue, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that Chase’s side wanted roughly three years, while the Bengals were pushing for four. Players want shorter, lucrative deals to get back in extension talks sooner as they remain in their prime (perfectly understandable), while teams want more control for a longer amount of time.

He needs to play and stop being a baby

Besides that I think he needs to take the Bengals deal and find a good investment counselor

who tells him stuff like "don't buy a Rolls Royce".

Playing out the last couple years on the rookie contract makes him at risk for a career ending

injury esp with the cheap shot bitches in our division and he ends up with...

A bird in hand is worth more than two in Taylor Swift's bush... which I still think is untouched by Travis Kelce.

And the Bengals need to... (God forgive me for saying this now) look ahead to drafting a top

wide receiver in the draft because we saw how the team does with only Ja'Marr.  Joe and the Bengals

need a two headed threat at wide out and, as much as I like him, Yoshi isn't the answer.  And Burton

is a head case, apparently.

I have a feeling that this entire contract saga could sink the season. It's not going to go away and in fact it will only grow. Several losses in a row and things are going to turn very ugly, real fast.

They most frustrating part is it should have never even come to this.

To be fair to, Kamara has already signed a second contract, this would be his 3rd.    It isn’t the same thing although as a 3rd round pick Kamara had to be signed after year 3 or no doubt he would have held out and rightfully so. He was a pro bowler all three years only earning $2.8 million those first 3 years.

Several members of the media are saying things about "vibes" just being completely off in the locker room (very scientific observations, I know). I think Trey Wingo was the first to say it, but others are also saying similar things now. Very concerning.

Yeah and Chase got $30 million fully guaranteed on his first deal so........Apples to Oranges, I get that.  It still was a jab regardless.

That is just who Kamara is.  Just a rare Alpha dog who loves to play football more than count extra dollar bills today.  He knows he will get paid.

Yeah there's a "years issue". Sign for 3, play one, then right back to this bullshit for another extension?

No thanks.

Dak Prescott didn’t use any leverage.  This deal Was figured out months ago. This was another case of Jerry Jones keeping the Cowboys in the media spotlight all camp.  It’s what he does.

Did they talk about Detroit much?  No. Has anyone heard a single word about The Saints or Tampa Bay in the last 2 months?   No.  Seattle?  Nah.

Nope. It’s been 24/7 CeeDee Lamb, Dak. Jerry Jones and the fucking Cowboys.  What a surprise, 2 hours before kickoff, what is everyone pre game talking about? Dak’s new contract and the Cowboys, right on que. (and Tyrek Hill).

Both Lamb and Dak got exactly what they were asking for, Jerry just waited for the perfect moment to make it public.

The media are just toys that Jerry plays with.
