|BlackJesus| Posted February 17 Author Report Posted February 17 This was the right decision and a great sign that they intend to sign him to a long term. 🧡 If not, a team will have to trade for him as the Bengals will not just let him walk for nothing. 3 Quote
|High School Harry| Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 Great news! I can wear my #5 Higgins jersey another couple years now Quote

Jamie_B Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 Mixed reporting on this, he's getting tagged, but I also just read it wont be until the final possible moment while they try to work out a deal. 2 Quote
sparky151 Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Yeah, I've seen it said that the tag is done to buy time for a contract extension. That seems likely. 1 Quote
Inigo Montoya Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 I believe Tee wants to be here to play with Burrow and Chase. At this point, the move is to sign or trade him. No sense in another one year situation. I think a deal can be done but we’ll see what happens. Quote
|BlackJesus| Posted February 18 Author Report Posted February 18 This is actually the perfect example of why the tag was created. The Bengals don't handle extensions that well, but they sure know how to use their tag. Quote
T-Dub Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Honestly I'd be all for a trade if it didn't mean trying to draft another Tee Higgins with those picks.. Quote

The only way a trade makes sense is if they give you a 1st and 2nd Rd pick. If just a 1st rder, it means you are getting a 30%-50%? chance at finding another Tee who is cheaper. Not that great of a deal. It's hard to find another Tee Higgins (top 10 WR in the NFL) even in the first round. For every Justin Jefferson there is a John Ross. 2 Quote
|BlackJesus| Posted February 18 Author Report Posted February 18 I would be open to dealing Tee for a DL player straight up, like Dexter Lawrence or Myles Garrett. But the Giants or Browns wouldn't take that deal. 1 Quote

Jamie_B Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 This is a weak WR draft, they need to sign him. 2 Quote

Im looking for McKinley and Kris Jenkins to take a big step up. Best keep Tee.. He makes plays and takes a load of JMarr and a huge playmaking ng target for Joe. 3 Quote
