Perhaps but when he is used in the wildcat he can be dangerous.

Cribbs is so overrated its hilarious. The only thing he was good at was returning the ball which will go away as Nugent will put every ball out of the end zone with the new rules.

Dude had 292 receiving yards and 66 rushing yards last year. Oh, I almost forgot the 3 passes for 19 yards last year really add to his EPIC stats.

Last year he threw up 9 yards rushing and 28 receiving against us. Damn thats scary,.... NOT.

Being one of the better players on a horrible team doesn't mean you are good.

Put Hall and Nelson on "Pay da man" and then bring an extra safety into the box to stop Hillis, make McCoy beat you.

Right not a bad strategy, but McCoy has looked great this pre-season. Doesn't have a great arm, but he's smart and can run, too. Should be interesting to see how their OL does with some of the guys injured. I think MJ and/or Dunlap can make some hay against Joe Thomas, who doesn't do as well vs. speed.

I'm looking forward to Atkins/Peko/Sims destroying the middle of their offensive line with a rookie at guard.

Barring mistakes, we ought to be able to handle Cleveland - we usually shut down the O and run on them. Of course, every so often we have one of those 50-48 games where all bets go out the window.

I'd be really surprised if this game turns into one of those shootouts based on how both teams are put together right now, but maybe I shouldn't be based on the history between these two teams!

I'm expecting a pretty low scoring game. I don't think they put big numbers up on our D, and its unrealistic to think our offense is going to come out and light up the scoreboard, even though Cleveland's defense isn't very good.

Even though I think the passing game is better without him, they really could use Bobbie in this game and just let Benson run wild. On the flip side, I think having Boling in there helps get an extra long ball in to green.

Dalton prepares to face Browns
4:14 pm, Sep 7, 2011 | Written by jreedy

Andy Dalton knows there are already being comparisons made between him and Colt McCoy. Both quarterbacked Texas universities and are now playing for Ohio pro football teams. During Wednesday’s news conference, Dalton did say that he has gotten to know McCoy a little bit and that there is a mutual admiration.

This is not the first time though that they have faced each other. On Sept. 8, 2007, Dalton and 19th-ranked TCU facedthe No. 7 Longhorns.

Texas won 34-13 but the QB’s statistics were nearly similar. Dalton was 23-for-37 for 208 yards and an interception while McCoy was 25-for-38 for 239 with a TD and two interceptions. It was Dalton’s second college start, and one of only seven he would lose in 49 career starts.

Said Dalton of that game: “We were winning at halftime and they came back and ended up beating us. It was a good game. It was my freshman year. It was I guess my second game of my college career. I feel like we played well and had opportunities, but they ended up coming out on top.”

When analyzing Sunday’s game, Dalton said that the Browns are a fast-flow defense which is physical up front along with an aggressive secondary.

“They have got some good guys back there. They try to disguise a little bit,” Dalton said. “They try to move around late before the snap. The big thing is just to try to find out what they are doing. But they have done a good job.”

Even though it will be his first NFL start, Dalton said he is trying to approach things as usual without any added pressure. The Bengals have lost three straight openers going into Sunday. The Browns are 1-11 in openers since returning in 1999 and have dropped six straight. The big key on Sunday is going to be giving Dalton a manageable gameplan.

Pashos being out would be a blow. He's not that good to begin with, so Dunlap (if healthy) against their backup RT would be a big advantage.

Everyone is familiar with star players like Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Peyton Hillis and Cedric Benson. But who will be the lesser-known X factors in these Week 1 matchups?

Here are some additional players who could make an impact Sunday's games in the AFC North:

------------------
Leon Hall, CB, Cincinnati Bengals

Experience: Fifth season

Analysis: The high-profile matchup between Bengals receiver A.J. Green and Browns No. 1 corner Joe Haden will get a lot of press. But in contrast, Hall will be asked to shut down Cleveland's passing game, led by quarterback Colt McCoy. Hall recently received a big contract extension. He would like nothing better than to make a few big plays against Cleveland in Week 1 to justify his pay raise.

Ahtyba Rubin, DT, Cleveland Browns

Experience: Fourth season

Analysis: The Bengals are not hiding the fact they want to run the football. Look for Benson to get a lot of carries to test the young defensive line of the Browns. That's where Rubin comes in. He's the only proven player on Cleveland's front four. Rubin will team with rookie first-round pick Phil Taylor as the biggest pieces to Cleveland's run defense. If Rubin is disruptive to Cincinnati's rushing attack, that will go a long way toward stopping the Bengals' offense.
Wow. Just wow. If that is your genuine feelings may I recommend you never attend a Soccer match. Or Ice Hockey. Or Rugby. Or almost anything.

Nearly all great rivalries in any sport are based upon geographical location. There is a reason that there isn't a Bills/Cowboys rivalry or Reds/Dodgers

Reds/Dodgers was BIG in the 70's and 80's

I've heard of him, but if he's cleveland's most experienced dlineman, that doesn't bode well for Cleveland. He'd be the #4 DT in Cincy.

Good to know, that would be nice to not have the interiour OL worry about facing some true studs. I can't wait for Sunday!

seriously did I miss the moment Phil Taylor became Warren Sapp in his prime? Hugh Douglas was on ESPN basically saying he was going to make Andy Dalton his bitch. You read it elsewhere as well.

He has a grand total of 2 tackles, one for a sack (against another rookie) in the preseason.

Child Please.

The biggest advantage in flipping from RB Bernard Scott to new WR Brandon Tate returning kicks is that Tate has more experience as a returner. Scott never returned kicks in college while Tate set the FBS record for return yardage. "He has a better natural feel for handling the ball," special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons said.

Despite the fact WR Brandon Tate has minimal experience returning punts since college, special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons said he expects Tate to be returning punts Sunday and feels comfortable with him back there.
