Quit looking at porn on your phone and you wont have to worry about clearing your history.

I'm going to be honest, I just don't see the appeal of an iPhone...

Your phone bill probably still comes as Western Ohio Bell.

Nope. I have two cans and a piece of string. And a Magic Jack.
Where I live (BFE), a cellphone is about as good as 2 cans and a piece of string.

Oh and I have a MySpace. I checked it the other day and a tumbleweed blew by on my monitor.

I switched from the iPhone 3GS to the Droid 2 global when I shattered my iPhone as the droid was my dads old phone. I liked the widgets and the swype text feature, but the phone was buggy as hell and the battery was awful. The phone would always freeze up and if the screen got any moisture on it you had to seriously dry it off and wait for it to air dry for the screen to not go crazy. After a while I couldn't even text on the phone because certain keys wouldn't register. My dad then gave me his old droid x 2 which I really liked the bigger screen but I experienced the same problems.

Last week I was able to upgrade to the iPhone 4s and it feels so damn good to have a smooth non-glitchy phone. Subjectively, there is no better UI than the iPhone. I just got the new LTE iPad last week as well and I couldn't be happier with my two purchases. The way the cloud services work and how I can combine the features of both is well worth the money.

I think once you own an iPhone and experience the simplicity of it it's hard to go to any other phone.

X3

I can go 3 days without charging my iPhone, but my work cell which is a Droid I have to charge it a minimum of once per day.

I also agree with the glitchy behavior, as the screen on the Droid is horrible for typing, even swyping. I also had a GarminFone, which had a better screen and was more stable than the Droid, but it had a problem where it would complain about being low on disk space, when it was actually low on virtual memory. The wankers had only given it 115MB of memory. WTF. It would happen all the time until I finally wiped the entire thing.

As a phone, the iPhone is horribly mediocre, but it is the best hand-held computer in existence.

The thing I like about my phone though is that it has a keyboard. I went from having an htc with a touch keyboard to this and I honestly like it way better. I don't want to go back to a touch keyboard. And I agree though that droid battery life sucks. I use mine for work and personal and I have to charge it all the time. That's really the only downfall.

Others have brought up reasons they like an iPhone that I agree with. Additionally, the 'appeal' goes up the more your life is Apple integrated. For many reasons, my computers are Apple, my tablet is an iPad, my music and video is all organized in iTunes, my movies have all been ripped for AppleTV, and my email is MobileMe/iCloud. The integration between the devices/services/software is seamless, and many of them even wind up with extra features between each other not available otherwise... The iPhone is a terrific device, but it must also be pointed out that Apple creates extra incentives in each new product to stay within the Apple ecosystem.

I don't think the battery on the 4s is that good, not as good as the 4.

Oh, and the clearing history question ... first, get the Dolphin HD Browser. You can choose which flash files you want to view. As for the default browser, hit the menu button when in browser, more, settings, then scroll down to privacy settings, and you'll see some clear buttons.

I found the performance improved with iOS 5.1.

Steve Jobs, posting from the afterlife!

I have a Blackberry Bold (get off my lawn) and the only nice thing I can say about it is that its free as I am on my parent's plan because they don't ever approach using their minutes on their plan. And yes, I still reside in their basement, so don't ask.
