The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - Steelers game 2

Recommended Posts

No one was great, but if you think about it, take away the 14 points special teams gave them and it would be a very close game with the bengals having a really good shot at coming out ahead.

You cant spot 14 in ST and expect to win.

Oline and Dline were probably the biggest disappointments. Oline no push in the run game and in the first half dalton got pressured a lot and that helped cause the game to get out of control. Dline didnt get any pressure all game.

Biggest ugly is the referring. Two of the stealers 4 touchdowns should have been called back. Bens passing touchdown he had two illegal men down field. On the punt return there was the hit on Huber and a blatant block in the back on hawkins.

Can't have that  kind of night from the special teams anywhere and have a good chance at winning. Certainly not in Pittsburgh.

Also, hard not be concerned about the lack of pass rush again.

Not much else to say. A loss is a loss. Need to come home next week and take the Vikings super seriously.

Big Lions fan tomorrow night to say the least.

The game was lost on special teams and in the trenches.  Basically 2 special teams scores (though that punt return was BS).

OL got their asses handed to them despite the steelers DL missing 2 starters.

DL got minimal pressure all night.

Pretty much that simple.  The 5 or 6 drops didn't help either.

Andy played well. Tons of drops and bad o line play will hurt his stat line but he played solid.

D-line was awful today. Got manhandled against an average o-line. No pressure for most of the game.

Horrible drop by Huber. It may have been slightly to the side but it was waist high and hit him in the hands. No excuse to drop it.

Play calling was awful. Gruden really dropped the ball.

yea sadly it will likely be Dalton's best career game against the Steelers, and it will be in defeat.

I'd have to watch it again, but on the replays they showed I didn't have an issue with them picking up the flag.

Whats the rule? Isnt it that the olinemen cant go past the LOS before he releases the pass?

The play started on the 12 yard line. There was an OL at the 9ish and one right on the 10. Wouldnt that be illegal man downfield?
