Zins30
ESPN - Browns WR Josh Gordon ticketed for speeding last week, passenger in car cited for marijuana possession Just read the article on espn. Was going74 in a 60 done and the passenger was cited for possession (I'm sure the passenger took the fall). Not thinking this incident will cause a big deal, but he still seems to be acting like a moron.

Probably why he was a supplemental pick.

Zins30
The marijuana in the car isn't going to help his cause with Goodell. Ehh, Goodell's too busy trying to figure out if the pills in Irsay's car were in Roger's name. With the speed he's responded to that, I think he could come down hard on Gordon by the 2016/17 season....

Zins30
Message sent? Justin Forsett takes reps over Ray Rice Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that he was "very concerned" with some of the off-field problems of his players this offseason. He sent a louder message to his running back group on the field this week. Journeyman free-agent pickup Justin Forsett took most of the reps with the first team during the first week of OTAs, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley. This sure looks like Harbaugh's way of scolding Ray Rice, the team's three-time Pro Bowl running back who received a $15 million signing bonus from the team just two years ago. Forsett is set to make $730,000 this year. With Bernard Pierce out with a shoulder injury, Harbaugh didn't have anywhere else to turn to send his message. Like Rice, fourth-round pick Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested this offseason. Hensley notes that Rice looked "noticeably slimmer" and had good burst, although Forsett was even faster. Perhaps the Ravens are preparing for Rice to be suspended early in the season, a time when Forsett could have a role as the team's third-down back. It's more likely that Harbaugh wanted to express his displeasure with Rice's offseason, despite the running back's uncomfortable apology last week for his arrest on simple assault charges. We'd be stunned if Forsett keeps taking snaps over Rice by the time real practices start.

Zins30
Police: Bills' Dareus 'possibly racing' As Marcell Dareus keeps getting into off-field trouble, the Bills have to look hard at their options for dealing with the productive defensive lineman, writes Mike Rodak. Story Updated: June 3, 2014, 11:21 AM ET By Mike Rodak | ESPN.com ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was taken into custody by Hamburg, New York, police last Friday after he was involved in a car accident stemming from an apparent drag race. Dareus was charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, as well as reckless driving and participating in an illegal speed contest, both unclassified misdemeanors. He appeared Monday in Hamburg Town Court and was released on his own recognizance. According to a statement released by Hamburg police, Dareus was driving a white 2012 Jaguar that was "possibly racing" with a black Camaro or Mustang around 3:16 p.m. Friday. An officer arriving on the scene found Dareus' car crashed into a tree in front of a restaurant. Police are investigating the identity of the driver of the other car. The alleged drag race and crash took place less than five minutes from the Bills' practice facility and about three hours after their Friday organized team activity concluded. Dareus is due back in court June 17, the first day of Bills' mandatory minicamp. Dareus was not spotted at the start of the Bills' organized team activity on Tuesday. Coach Doug Marrone is expected to address the situation later Tuesday. Dareus also faces charges in Cleburne County, Alabama, following a May 5 arrest. He is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. No court date has been set for those charges. The third overall pick in 2011, Dareus addressed his May arrest last week, saying that "wasn't a trouble guy" and "things happen."

I thought the same thing, actually, but at the rate dude's going he may OD on treefrog venom or some shit before King Roger even has a chance to wield his banhammer. Gordon seems to be on a self-destructive path of his own, in other words. The NFL's selectively-enforced conduct policy is the least of his current worries.
