    Peter Noone, Herman of Herman's Hermits, is from Manchester.  So are Freddy and the Dreamers (Freddy was Peter's parents milkman) and Wayne (whose real name was Glyn) and the Mindbenders.  Herman talks about Manchester all the time on Sirius XM 60's on 6 every Saturday night.
