Glad that Murphy has seemingly avoided serious injury here. Still amazed at how many of the EDGE rushers have had to miss time this training camp (plus one unexpected retirement). How they get through the final preseason game at DE will be interesting to watch. Guessing that Ossai and Cedric Johnson will take the vast majority of snaps, assuming they stay healthy themselves.

Katy handles all the big contracts now.

Ole Mike is out there to see if there's a chance to sign Tee long-term

instead of paying Chase alot more than he thinks he's worth..

Could tear up the tag part and make it happen..

Just a thought but Tee looks good along with the rest of the unit.

True thought is Katy delving into this knowing how much JB and Zach want JaMarr here.

I’m pretty sure that once the tag is signed the money is fully guaranteed and he cannot sign any other contract until the next off-season.

July 15 was the deadline for a multiyear deal with Tee. The negotiating window reopens after the season.

June 15 is when he says signed so it appears they could work a new deal

Tks for info.

They could have, now they have to wait till the end of the season.

I think the idea of Tee staying is likely over.

They have to wait for him to sign. They could come to terms at any point before then.

No, Higgins signed his tender back in June. That's why he's able to practice. He's under contract for the 2024 season but not eligible to sign a new contract until February.

Right, he's not eligible to sign a new contract. They could agree to a new contract at any time, he just can't sign it yet.

Are they allowed to negotiate after the July deadline?

I am assuming what's "allowed" and what actually goes on for an NFL team are two very different things.

Besides which, it doesn't have to be anything specific.  Mike could drive him around on the golf cart and mention how they "see things differently now" or whatever to let him know they haven't given up on a deal.  No one else can sign him either so it's really an unenforceable rule outside of some blatant tampering like the Dolphins & Brady..  & even that only came to light because of an investigation into something else entirely.
