"CLEVELAND RIVER CATCHES FIRE AGAIN" ... nice.

Deshaun Watson's contract and trade is the worst in organized sports history at any level, in any country.

Their only hope is he gets hit by a bus or dies of herpes. Because if not, their franchise is cooked for the next 3 years.

Watson's contract is already the worst contract in league history, but the other players in the NFL have really benefitted from it. While it's true that there have been no 100 percent guaranteed contracts since Watson's, the percentage of guaranteed money on big name extensions and free agent signings have skyrocketed. Almost all teams in the league other than the Bengals have accepted that this is the new reality for big contracts. Now just the cost of doing business if you want to compete for championships.

Nick Harris is out with a broken fibula, so the Browns are down to their 3rd or 4th string center. Also, Jerome Ford has a hamstring injury. Nick Chubb will be back, but I think he’ll be limited.

When the teams looked the same.

When someone decided the best day to wear a lot of orange was the game when the opponent would be wearing a lot of orange, too.

Eh, it was obviously a colossal mistake. Not sure how something that's already noted as a historically terrible decision becomes the "cost of doing business" but I'm sure the NFLPA would like everyone to think so..

I wore my vintage Ken Riley jersey to the Rat game a week ago. Some Bengalfan doofus comes up to me and asks "Why are you wearing a Cleveland jersey?" I turned around to show him the "Riley" on the back. He goes "Oh"

Dumbfuckedness is not limited to CFT faithful.

I'm betting that three years out of the league and Watson is broke and signing autographs for a quarter.

"Can I get your autograph? Who are you?"

you ever hedge your bets with your emotions?, i almost bet $500 on the superbowl, for the bengals to lose, so if they lost i won like $490, if they won i sure as fuck wasnt gonna care about the $500.

could you field a team with 170mil in dead cap space, 53 players for 110mil in cap room. like an expansion team.

NFLPA had neve been happier. players never happier, i wanna know, via an open forum press conference, who made that decision there and what they were thinking, i will be first to the mic to ask questions.

1. so Watson had 1 good stats year himself, and the team won like 4 games, what specifically about that made you feel he was either either the 5 picks OR the record breaking contract, and how did it end up being BOTH?

2. have you in fact watched th game of football previously before making this decision?

3. having known of the sexual assault, was that written in the pro or con column when you were making the decision to acquire him?

hahahahaha

jesus

3 first round picks!  Anybody outside Cuyahoga County knew that was a disaster from the start. Even in a world where he's a great QB and also not a serial rapist that deal makes no fucking sense.  But he's not, and he is, and while the former is maybe slightly debatable in a starry-eyed "he's got potential" sort of way, the second part was common knowledge and should've been an immediate deal breaker or at the very least grounds for a serious, bargain basement discount with a very large escape hatch option allowing the team to bail out of any contract at their discretion.. so WTF were they possibly thinking?

Kinda feel like if they don't beat the Browns now I'm not sure they ever will.

I'm just glad Bill Callahan is Nashville now.
