gatorclaws
i was kiddin btw..i don't think he's any better than dalton.. He's certainly better than Josh Johnson. I'd definitely pick him up.
SmoothD
Pretty sure he also has a stronger arm than both Dalton and Johnson. His numbers started to decline after the Bucs fired Raheem Morris.
Newprodigy101
No way we pick him up. Could we use him as a backup? Yes! That being said alot of teams can say the same and I'm guessing if 10 teams try and snag him and the bengals are 1 of those 10 what are the chances he ends up in cincinnati? I say 10%. lol
The PatternMaster
I hope they would sign him, he's shown he can be a good qb in the NFL and we have the weapons make him successful, if anything it should light a fire under Dalton's ass. WRAPradio
If I were MB, I'd only sign him if he understands he's coming in to be the backup. Realistically it would take him at least a month if not more to learn the offense to a point where he could be used in a game. Based on how Andy finishes the season, there would be a competition for the job. The only problem is with all of our injuries, there really isn't a spot for him, unless we cut Orson. I have little faith in Johnson, but they can't afford to carry a 3rd QB right now.

Big Alice
...he's shown he can be a good qb in the NFL. Not really. He was OK a couple years ago, but he's regressed AND he wants to start. Coming in behind a healthy guy who's taken his team to playoffs in his first two seasons and has a couple years left on his contract is probably not the most direct route to a starting gig. Bengals1181
wow. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet52s #Bucs QB Josh Freeman received a $5.95M payment from the Bucs when they cut him. #Consolationprize

mongo
Dude cancered his way out of team captain, starter, and ultimately his job. Not the resume you want from the leader of an offense.

MichaelWeston
Freeman was awesome for awhile last year. He doesn't have to be better than Johnson or Dalton to make the team. I would certainly sign him. He has to be better and more valuable to this team now and in the future then who ever the 53 best guy is on the roster. MichaelWeston
Take a look at his stats last year from Week 4-12. He was a top QB in the league during that time. I would certainly kick the tires. Make him sign a cap friendly 2 year contract. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/12473/year/2012/josh-freeman

Squirrlnutz
We have 1 and 3/4 healthy NFL caliber LBs (3/4 if you rewind to this time last year when Rey was the worst LB since Caleb Miller) and 4 injuries in the secondary. We can not carry a 3rd qb for the near term.
MichaelWeston
This is a simple fix. The idea that we can't carry a third QB because of LB injuries doesn't hold water. Simply cut one of the guys we have had on inactive all year. We don't need Freeman active. Rex Burkhead won't help this team more then Josh Freeman. Bgal
No. Bengals' fans at the game I went to were screaming for Johnson to come into the game. I seriously just don't want to listen to people bitch and moan they Freeman should be the starter. The Bucs apparently paid him money to go away. Why bring that here?
