|Dr Tarzan|
Next up....Bengals go for their first ever playoff win. While the Chargers and Dolphins play an epic overtime game this weekend, the Bengals are playing the Bills. It was during the Xmas break so I was able to go to this one, It was about 45 degrees....100 degrees warmer than the windchill that would define the Freezor Bowl just 7 days later.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9MQ1eLn7WY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk-uTpq6KWI

saphead
Damn I love these videos. So much less me, me, me in the 1981 NFL. Give each other some high 5's and run back to the sideline. So damn refreshing.
scharm
Damn I love these videos. So much less me, me, me in the 1981 NFL. Give each other some high 5's and run back to the sideline. So damn refreshing. Tv is partly to blame for that. One thing that is incredibly noticeable is the reduced amount of focused shots on players and coaches. |Dr Tarzan|
The SB subsequent to this playoff series won't be shown....still not really over it...plus, I gave my tape of it away to one of my 49er friends (true one--grew up on the bay and watched them in old Kesar.) Sooo.....onto a different magical season, 1988. My first entry is a game where James Brooks was out injured and Stanley Wilson was hobbled with a back injury. Sam Wyche had no choice but to throw his limited experienced rookie into the fray to shoulder the load....and a Cincinnati folk-hero/icon was born......I bring you the Ickey Woods breakout game.
