May 1, 20214 yr comment_1638422 From NFL network: Overview Sample is a short-stepper with hip tightness and wasn't able to convert enough pressures into sacks while playing outside. However, his skilled rush attacks and short-area footwork could give him advantages on the interior, where he can take more of a straight-line approach to the quarterback. He has quick hands and good upper-body strength, but it's not a lock he'll get used to battling NFL wide-bodies inside, despite his physical nature and toughness. Sample should become a solid, scheme-diverse defender with the ability to play strong-side end on early downs and reduce inside as a rusher. There could be teams who see him as a smaller three-technique if he can carry the weight. Strengths Potential to play a variety of spots in both odd and even fronts. Carries naturally thick frame with good play strength. Plus length with big hands. Heavy-handed strikes lift and jostle opponents. Good anticipation of and reaction to play direction. Efficient and fluid as a pass rusher. Basketball feet create separation and open edges as a rusher. Varies his rush plans and has impressive repertoire of go-to moves. Stick-and-move mentality with his hands. Consistent effort and production over the last three years. Can physically batter weaker opponents. Weaknesses Skilled rusher, but lacks impressive closing burst. Tight hips restrict change of direction. Allows blockers to close the distance on him. Head-ducker into first contact as run defender. Slow to separate from clenches. Lacks agility and acceleration as open-field tackler. Struggles to anchor once angle blocks start moving him. Would like to see him gain consistent control at the point of attack.

May 1, 20214 yr comment_1638433 At receiver, we have Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Tate, Thomas & Morgan.. I'd rather not have more than one slot going to Thomas/Morgan. There are several WR's I wouldn't mind. Cade Johnson Jaelon Darden Amin-Ra St. Brown Tylan Wallace Marquez Stevenson Mike Strachen Josh Imatorbhebhe I'd use the 7th on a PK (Jose Borregales or Evan McPherson). Yeah, you could easily sign a UFA, but if you use the 7th pick, you can get the one you want without bidding. Best chance or finding a "starter" that late in the draft. There's also Tommy Togiai, Justin Hilliard & Shaun Wade are candidates to be the annual Buckeye.

May 1, 20214 yr comment_1638437 Stanford C Drew Dalman goes (may have been a Bengals target). Would love Trey Smith. Three reasons he may have dropped. Injuries. Versatility. Motivation.
May 1, 20214 yr comment_1638440 If they go: OT - Stone Forsythe or Jaylon Moore OG - Trey Smith or Deonte Brown or Sadarius Hutcherson C - Drake Jackson or Mike Menet
