Josh Allen was a mid-level player before Diggs came to town. Allen's QB rating, comp %, TDs, Yards, games won, etc...all went up dramatically when Diggs played with him. Allen is going to have to prove that he can win without Diggs
saphead
Stroud is due to come back down to earth and play like a true OSU QB in the league. Then Diggs will start complaining and Mixon will shoot at somebody on the 610 in a fit of rage and the whole thing will start to unravel.

|BlackJesus|
Amount the Bengals will pay Joe Burrow this season = $ 29.5 million Amount the Bills will pay Diggs to play for the Texans this season = $ 31 million Insanity. 😵💫 And nobody in Buffalo is fired.

claptonrocks
11 hours ago, BlackJesus said: Josh is cooked No he's not. Diggs was very productive but no bonding with Josh. Allen is in the category of making decent or good receivers a level higher. Mahomes..Burrow..are elite. Lemar too. Allen is very close to that plateau. But Allen hears the footsteps of Stroud.. Hell the whole league does.. Lawrence, Herbert, Rodgers and Tua.. That's some kind of top loaded QBs all in the AFC..
claptonrocks
The 2024 AFC conference . Upset every week among conference opponents. The AFC has the potential to have the top 6 teams on the NFL. What a dynamic Conference to play in to show your upmost talents 1

They had to punt like half of their defense off the roster just to get cap compliant and currently only have $4M of cap space this year and $6M next year. $55M of dead cap this year, with Diggs bein $31M of it. They don't even have a 3rd round pick in this draft either so no capital to move up in the 1st round. I seem to recall Beane saying he'd never want to be in a position to draft a Ja'Marr Chase because that means you'd have to go through some lean years. Seems like the tax man has come to collect on that receipt, if he doesn't get fired first. 1

Josh Allen can't QB sneak his way to the playoffs because this current crop of receivers isn't scaring anyone and they will struggle to get open. Cutting Diggs was a cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face kind of move that could spell the end of the road for Beane and the coaching staff. If Buffalo struggles, because they are the 3rd best team in their division right now, and miss the playoffs then you can see the clear regression from the Bills. They went from Super Bowl darlings a few years ago to a team that is a shell of its former self.
Jamie_B
I think the emergence of Kincaid allowed them to feel comfortable enough to move on. Allen is still going to have a target in him, and they likely draft a WR. This is a good draft for that too

This is a good draft for that too After the Bills fired OC Ken Dorsey last year and promoted Joe Brady, the offense suddenly became a lot more productive. That also coincided with a big drop in targets for Diggs. They've traded him and Davis left in free agency. But they signed Curtis Samuel who is a high end WR3 or middle of the pack WR2. Kincaid and Knox are a good pair of TEs. So they need a WR1 and will most likely draft one in the first round. Brian Thomas probably won't fall to their slot and if they stay put, other teams looking for a WR will jump ahead of them. But they can likely get AD Mitchell or Keon Coleman and be ok. Next year they are entirely free of Diggs' contract and will dump Von Miller's as well.
