  1. i got my seats back. talked to 3 people and got pumped to a manager finally and it took some selling i had to pull out all the stops, all truthful, but i had to play the logic, the heart strings, the begging, and they gave in, its possible i will lose a set next year and keep a set.. but we shall see. after the fact the things that was frustrating me the most that caused my rage, is im getting older, my health isnt exactly great, and my kids are getting older, there arent going to be many years that i can spend this time with my oldest son, in a few years he is gonna have a demanding job, family, and maybe kids of his own, and fucking off to ohio to watch the bengals with me isnt gonna be possible. and the thought of the bengals stripping that away from me to appease some assholes on a wait list, assholes WHO DIDNT SUPPORT THEM WHEN SALES WERE DOWN, but want tickets now that they are good, theyd take that away from me for those fans? for no gain in their pocket? probably an emotional flounce but i was about ready to be done with this franchise. you cursed my life with andy dalton and now this??!?!? fool me once...

  3. These are always fun. And I always get foreclosed thoughts when I don't run through these and then see the obvious and necessary pivots "real life" makes you take. Here is my first one. Free Agency on FanSpeak ROSTER SIGNED PLAYERS Name Position Cap Hit Drew Sample TE 2,000,000 Tanner Hudson TE 1,600,000 Marcus Bailey LB 1,500,000 Joe Bachie LB 1,500,000 Joe Mixon RB 3,000,000 Colby Parkinson TE 2,000,000 Jermaine Eluemunor OT 3,600,000 Dane Jackson CB 4,125,000 Andrew Billings DL 3,000,000 Alohi Gilman S 2,400,000 Tommy Townsend P 3,000,000 Sample and Tanner on 2 year deals both Mixon was released and re-signed on a 1 year deal Parkinson I got on a 2 year deal JE, DJ, TT and AG were all 3 year deals. Came in under what I think will actually be market. Couldn't get the DT group to come to me but added Billings who is adequate. Needs: Depth on the OL. Couldn't get Cody Ford back and Scharping wasn't on the list. Irwin also not on the list but assume he is back. I added Scharping and Scotty Miller who I want them to sign. The draft was CIN 18. 4. Nice to see the NFL catching up to what the XFL had 4 years ago.... 2/29/2020 - BattleHawks vs Sea Dragons - "The XFL down-and-distance markers are digital AND they communicate with each other. The first down marker displays the distance between it and the line marker. Which is pretty cool."

  6. At $750K minimum per year…it’s just a short walk over to Taste of Belgium. They are open on Tuesdays

  7. If Becton doesn't find a market the first couple of days, I could see him coming here for a year as cover for a rookie RT.

  8. As you certainly know, very few FA’s of superior quality will be within the Bengals’ erstwhile price range. “untapped potential” is the selling point for the peanuts they might be willing to take away from Uno to pay anyone else.

  10. I think the Bears were satisfied with his play at NT. Extremely strong anchor as u know.

  11. Andrew Billings recently signed a 2 yr 8 mil...4 per extension with Chicago..

  12. Agreed, some of it is because it's the first year in a more than 1 year deal.

  13. Those prices look low on the outside free agents. The Athletic had a choose your own adventure workbook a few weeks ago.

  15. Size comparison means little . Strength technique come with time. How much do they want it? Treys a remarkable player in that He brings it every play ..

  17. Great to see. Fiske is a fun watch - very quick, and he closes on the QB in a hurry.

  18. i oddly do not give a shit what we do at punter, he seemed to improve over the year, but stats dont show much of that..

  19. That’s actually a pretty good point that people don’t think about. Probably not much of a curve there but I’ve worked with guys who had a natural reaction to pull their finger early and others who couldn’t get the laces spun. Guessing his lack of holding was a reason the Bengals targeted Carmada two years ago and left without a punter once he got snatched.

  20. Araiza first has to adjust to kicking in the pros after being out of football for two years. As for holding, it isn't where he mishandles the snap, it's whether Butker has something else to think about when he's trying to kick. You just never know what can set a kicker back from year to year.

  21. That's a good question Clapton, not entirely sure. I feel like I've read somewhere that their initial get-up and first several steps are evaluated moreso than their top speed/overall time. I would imagine that for plays requiring down field blocking it might be helpful to see how quickly they can get to their spots? Just spitballing here, curious if anyone else knows more.

  22. Was coming here to post that. Pretty interesting. Probably shows Murphy is a little raw coming out but oozing with potential. Fiske should start D1 but probably maxed out with where he’s at being 24.5.

  24. I still liked the old school days when the backup quarterback was the holder. Always a threat to stand up and throw one down the field. Cool stuff, that.

  25. Dehner says the team saves 6.1 mil by cutting Mixon so there must be some workout or roster bonuses in there too.

  26. Yes, it's that he's older now than he was 3 years ago. It's probably a perk she gets. They don't need her there to tell them not to swallow tobacco juice. The Bengals apparently have a nutritionist on contract, while other teams have 1 or more on staff.

  27. Any way to contact Katie? She might do something for you. Owning and running a Bengals message board for so long might count for something. Proves your legit loyalty to the team.

  28. Things his OL doesn't need to work on: 1. Impression of a turtle on its back 2. Helping the QB up off the ground 3. Forgetting the snap count 4. Shuffling their feet while trying to decide who they're supposed to block 5. Jogging downfield without getting involved in the play 6. ????

  29. I agree but it's maybe not that easy to me, we just watched the defense lose them a lot of games that Browning was capable of winning. Protecting the QB is more important but they couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. This OL also looked a lot worse than just one RT away from OK. More to my point, with $50m in cap space and the biggest chunk of that assigned to someone with high trade value that's not in their long term plans, they don't have to choose one or the other. They could potentially sign 2 FA's and have 2 1st round picks as well. Assuming Higgins is as good as gone, is it really worth passing on all that just to keep him another year? There's a pretty good FA pool for WR's, Higgins may be the best of them but there are good options for a WR2. Some combination of OT/DT/WR with the first 3 picks & complimentary FA's at those positions is the only way I see them keeping pace in the North. Rely solely on the draft, even with extra picks, and we're going to be chasing again.

  30. The Reds have a nutritionist on staff, I had saw a pic of some chick in the dugout with the players and someone asked who it was and they said it was the nutritionist. Which was wild that she was in the dugout with the players during the game to me.

  31. It's really not too much to expect the team to offer similar amenities to other teams. Like, why is the cafeteria closed on Tuesdays, the player's day off? There are other employees at the stadium who might want to eat lunch that day, from the coaches to ticket sellers. Why don't they have a dietician or nutritionist on staff? That's pretty surprising in 2024.

  32. Somebody call a whambulance for these poor babies. NFL Rookie minimum for 22/23 was 750K Maybe a couple of players could get together and get their families a suite or 2 or 3 and hire a babysitter for their underprivileged children.
