  1. How the fuck is this felon just allowed to hang out and chill for almost 2 weeks after causing all this vehicular mayhem? If it were me the cops would've busted into my house and dragged me out by the dick and thrown me into the back of a squad car the next fucking morning.

  3. I hope they would take a look at Fletcher Cox. I know they are waiting to see how the draft falls before deciding on another Free Agent (probably leaning towards Teair Tart, but I'd rather have Cox, who is still playing at an above league-average level, which is better than all but one of our current DT's).

  5. Hopefully you have all cooled down from the hot Punter talk Now for the biggest need on the team. -Hill is back and solid -Reader is a FA, he is very important but old -Tupou is a FA and maybe not so great -Carter is a not a FA but bad at sports -Tufele is back and solid -We added Travis Bell for this very situation. -Don't sleep on Dominique Davis but he's actually already 28 -Don't sleep on DeVonsha Maxwell who was on IR all year. He had 37.5 sacks in college https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_oGEDBZnU6LESfPLyD8apeXSKI-OJ4Z8IWYd7YcnAsM/edit?usp=sharing Draft Order Cap DL Age Overall Run D Pass Rush Coverage Snaps Starts 23/Career stats Notes Reader-Bengals 30 82.2 75.3 79.1 59.8 535 4/96 34-2fl-7h-1s-1fr-1pd 421 B-106 A 6'3 335 Hill-Bengals 28 67.7 63.3 65.8 67.9 776 17/52 51-2fl-21h-4.5s-1fr-5pd 586 B - Wilkins played for Hobby at Clemson and in Miami -DaQuan Jones could be cheap. He didn't play much but has been impactful in the past. -Malcolm Roach has good PFF scores but not a ton of production, just 26 -DeShawn Williams sort of got his start here before disappearing....But he is back and was coached by Hobby at Clemson At Nose tackle-It's harder to tell who really is a nose. Reader saw 421 snaps in the B gap and 106 A. I just put anyone similar in this category. -Tart was an interesting one we put in a bid for in the season after he was released by Tennessee -Raekwon Davis was coached by Hobby, is 335 pounds only started 7 games for a Miami team in cap trouble. PFF scores aren't great -John Jenkins is 35 but was coached by Betcher in 18 and Hobby in 19. He could be a veteran rotational guy.

  7. He played a key role in reaching the SB. Then he forgot who made him look good and ran to NYC chasing tail and or money and now his career is a flop. Moral of the story: a short-term raise on a bad team, doesn't equate to more career earnings. It usually means you get a signing bonus and cut before you ever see most of that "fake" contract.

  12. Yeah - something I thought that was interesting was they mentioned Corley’s average air yard per reception was something like 3.6 yards and the Bengals were the only AFCN team not at his pro day. Imagine they are looking for more inside out versatility than what Corley brings.

  14. A number of folks bag on Polk's timed speed but guys like Deebo (4.48) and Aiyuk (4.50) were both in that range, too. UW had a nice crew of receivers - Odunze was the star but both Polk and McMillan will get drafted and Polk has a well-rounded game. And while I really like Roman Wilson and he's faster for sure, Polk has the edge in size and physicality... and he's not slow. Lots of good guys out there. On the pod with Nate Tice, PDJ asked about Corley from WKU... another interesting player who's great with the ball in his hands.

  15. For sure. Love the guy - great athlete but he's really aware, too. Just makes plays, and in the clutch. Definitely a guy you win with. Former WR so he's got a really good feel for routes.

  16. That seems like an crazy high number. The Beast is the most detailed draft guide out there, and they only have the Big Four as certain 1st round picks. Beyond that: 1st-2nd: Ladd MConkey/Adonai Mitchell 2nd: Keon Coleman/Roman Wilson 2nd-3rd: Ricky Pearsall/Xavier Worthy/Malachi Corley/Troy Franklin 3rd: Ja'Lynn Polk/Xavier Legette/Malik Washington 3rd-4th: Devontez Walker/Jermaine Burton/Brendan Rice/Jalen McMillan I'm expecting the Bengals to take a WR on Day Two with one of their three picks. So I expect one of the above WRs to likely be a Bengal soon.

  19. Got to listen to this today. 78% of Wilson’s catches went for first downs. Would be a nice replacement for Tyler but Paul keeps harping on the inside/outside versatility and I’m not sure Roman is big enough to not get pressed into the benches. I imagine he would need to be lined up at Z if he played outside which would negate Jamarr and a free release like they want to do when he’s in the slot. Jermaine Burton shout out in this one for later round guy.

  20. he was dynamic on offense for Michigan… IMO their most explosive offensive player. Consistently made plays for them and he’s tough, too. Isn’t afraid to mix it up or shy away from contact. Really like him and he can play inside or outside.

  23. Tart signed with Miami. Sounds like he wasn’t a fit in Cincinnati.
    1 point
  24. I think letting Tart leave without signing him is because they are targeting a few DT's in the draft for either the 1st or 2nd Round, and if they get one of them, then they don't add another DT. If the first two rounds go by and they don't get a DT, I think they then hit FA one more time and try to get Tart (hopefully Cox, instead).

  26. By Myles Simmons Published April 10, 2024 09:56 AM After five seasons with the Dolphins and one with the Patriots, tight end Mike Gesicki signed a one-year deal with the Bengals last month. Gesicki’s production has significantly dipped in the last two seasons after he caught 73 passes for 780 yards with two touchdowns in 2021. But playing with a quarterback like Joe Burrow, Gesicki thinks he’s in a position for that to change. When it comes to Burrow, Gesicki recently said, via Geoff Hobson of the team’s website, that he’s “never been in the huddle with that kind of talent.” Since entering the league in 2018, Gesicki has played with the likes of Ryan Tannehill, Brock Osweiler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Rosen, Jacoby Brissett, Teddy Bridgewater, Skylar Thompson, Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe, and Tua Tagovailoa — with Tagovailoa clearly the best of the bunch. But when healthy, Burrow has certainly been better than every signal-caller on that list. Gesicki and his new QB have already connected before Cincinnati officially starts its offseason program next week. “I’m not going to bother him too much. But he’s been great. He’s been somebody I’ve been able to reach out to and have conversations,” Gesicki said. “He’s been a leader in the locker room who a lot of guys look to. I’m definitely one of those guys looking to him. I’ve heard great things about him as a teammate. He’s easy to talk to. Good sense of humor.” Playing all 17 games last season for New England, Gesicki caught just 29 passes for 244 yards with two touchdowns. The Bengals could use more production out of the tight end position, particularly with Tyler Boyd likely departing the team as a free agent. Gesicki should be able to provide that kind of solid target for Burrow in 2024. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/mike-gesicki-on-joe-burrow-ive-never-been-in-the-huddle-with-that-kind-of-talent

  34. Sure now that Reader is gone even if they draft a rookie NT he wont push a guy for a starting spot, but the Bengals paid more than they wanted to as we know they got in a bidding war for Rankins. All I am saying here is that if a NT is there at a spot they like, don't be surprised if they draft one.

  35. Mike Gesicki: I have to prove I’m capable, earn more opportunities with Bengals By Josh Alper Published April 9, 2024 07:10 AM When tight end Mike Gesicki caught 73 passes for the Dolphins in 2021, it looked like the start of big things for the 2018 second-round pick but the next two seasons didn’t see a repeat of the big numbers. Gesicki caught 32 passes after Mike McDaniel became the Dolphins head coach in 2022 and a move to the Patriots last season resulted in even fewer catches and targets for the tight end. Gesicki moved on to a contract with the Bengals last month and said he “would like to think” he’s still the same player from that would-be breakout season in Miami, but knows he has to show it on the field. “New team, new staff, new quarterback. Everything is new for me,” Gesicki said, via the team’s website. “So I have to go out there and earn the trust. It’s more proving what I’m capable of doing and earning more and more opportunities once the football starts. It’s only April. A long way to go.” The new quarterback is a big upgrade from New England and finding a quick way into Joe Burrow’s good graces would be a big plus to Gesicki’s hopes of turning things around in 2024. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/cincinnati-bengals

  36. It's funny how much emphasis we put on a single pick on Day One when Day Two is where most of the team's starters come from. Even have an extra draft pick on Day Two this year. Off the top of my head these were the Cincinnati starters last season who were drafted in the 2nd or 3rd rounds - Hubbard/BJ Hill/Hendrickson/Wilson/Pratt/Taylor-Britt/Awuzie/sometimes Battle and/or Turner on defense. On offense there was Mixon/Boyd/Higgins/Orlando Brown/Cappa/sometimes Sample. There were only a few starters last season who were 1st round draft picks.

  37. The news that the Colts want to trade up for Bowers is good news on the Byron Murphy front, as they are also the team I suspect could take Murphy before the Bengals do.

  38. Interesting. He’s definitely got some Dallas Clark to his game. Really tough cover with speed and run after catch ability.

  39. I could easily see the Bengals decide if Sweat drops to 80, they'll take him there and if he's gone, they're no worse off than if he'd been off the board at 49 pre-DUI. They will have backup plans to draft a NT.

  41. To be clear there are absolutely things I do not like. Investment groups should not be allowed to buy homes, that is a HUGE part of the problem with the cost of housing, not to mention we need to be building more houses to drive prices down. It has been shown that 50% if the inflation numbers are coming from what is basically "greedflation" or corporations price gouging, Biden has done nothing to address that.

  43. What BAC did Sweat blow? Big difference between the .08 minimum for DUI and a .15 or higher. It's weird that he blew it on Sunday afternoon, was he really wasted from Saturday night and thought he was good to drive?
