I thought it would be in the club's best interest to hold onto Jordan as insurance against Carson showing up last second to get his salary. Let it be known that Carson could return only if he was willing to take his brother's spot on the team. Now... It's a real head scratcher to me, particularly since I think there was a little fire to Willie's smoke a week or so ago. I wonder if Carson was willing to come back for this year if the Bengals agreed to trade him, and they told him they'd try to trade him in off season if agreed to stay away from the team this year. They've stll got a lot of spare DBs like Murray, Lindsey, Ghee, Wade, Trent, Miles, Sands, Mays, and Wilson and there will be more cuts anyway. I think Nelson was a long shot for the roster but thought he'd stay around longer in the preseason. I remember a few years ago some other team was reportedly willing to give up a draft pick for him. Wonder if his knee isn't good... He was out a really long time. Jordan sees like a good guy; I wish him well. Terrible QB, though. That said, LeFevour hasn't shown much either. Now, JP is gone and they are not as anxious of the future without Carson. I would not be surprised if trades are now secretly considered as well.
