When you guys were in highschool

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if any of you went through what i am going through
At my high school we got like 2,000 students and there is like hundred's of steeler fans infesting the hallways with their jerseys and wearing steeler gear and shit. Everytime i ask them all about the steelers they say they were all born in pittsburg...
There are few bengal fans at my school and this is crazy lol
I lost some damn money betting that the bengals will win and we lost lol

I can only think of one Steeler fan in high school. She wasn't very popular, looked a lot like Miss.Piggy, and was known for giving a guy a footjob at a party...true story.

I went to Norwood and everyone was into professional wrestling.

What's scary is if they weren't into that and they didn't live in close proximity to Cincinnati, they'd be Steeler fans too. Wrestling, Steeler football...what's the fucking difference?

When I was in high school, most were fans of the Dayton Triangles. Well, okay, I'm not that old, but I'm an old bastard compared to some here. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and most people who grew up in that era were fans of either the Cowboys or Stealers, and I still sense that in our generation today. I've got more friends who are fans of the Stealers than any other team and Cowboys fans have been pretty quiet since the 90s.

Even though they only faced one another in two Super Bowls in the 70s, it seemed like more, and those two always got the prime spots on the pages of the Sears Christmas catalog (anyone remember drooling over the NFL stuff in those?).

Friends don't let friends be Stealers fans. There's even a Facebook page for this... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Friends-dont-let-Friends-be-Steelers-Fans/125501367466936

I was the only Bengal fan in my entire High School (in South Florida). I was in 9th grade when Cincy made their first Super Bowl.
It was a glorious season, playoff stretch, freezer bowl then a steel beam to the face when Cincy got jammed up at the goal line and lost to Joe Montana's gang.
I found out how many Steelers fans there were in my school the next day.
A lot.

Flyin' Brian owned a house in my neighborhood when I was a kid.
Oh and in the late 90s it seemed like at Batavia High you either rooted for the Bengals or ignored the NFL and put all your eggs in the Buckeyes basket
