I'm not a big fan of McCarthy, but putting the country above partisan interests should not have been rewarded by being booted from the Speaker of the House position. It's a shame that more politicians can't do that. So now, we have a Congress that can't do anything and a party in the majority that is at civil war with itself to get a new Speaker elected, at a time when we really need a functioning Congress. The Center for Effective Lawmaking has ranked him one of the least effective lawmakers in Congress. In their most recent study, he was ranked 202 out of 205 among Republicans.Jordan is more concerned with getting sound bites on Fox News than serving his constituents. John Boehner, a fellow Republican, labeled him a “legislative terrorist” as far back as 2013. Jim Jordan is not the person who can work in a bipartisan manner, and that is what Congress needs right now. And if that isn’t enough, he didn’t speak up about the sexual abuse that was going on in the wrestling program at OSU while he was a coach there. At least half a dozen wrestlers have said that they told Jordan about it and he did nothing to stop it. He denies knowing anything about it, just likes he denies knowing anything about the Jan. 6th riots. A large part of the reason he gets re-elected is because he was a high school wrestling champion in his district and he’s still living off of that glory. I think if his constituents would take the time to explore his record, they would feel differently. Or, maybe not.
