I think it's the intellectual dishonesty that I find most amusing.

Republicans didnt have to end the filibuster because they didn't have 2 republicans that blocked the things they wanted to get done.

That makes no sense. The filibuster has to do with 60 votes. Unless the filibuster was abolished, they needed 60 votes to pass anything, hence they needed Dem votes

So it's only "stacking" when the Democrats do it, what a surprise.  Curious if you support a theocracy or if it's just a "my team" thing?

Republicans never threatened to increase the number of justices, ie stacking. So Don't know what you're referring to. Trump got his Justices in based on current law

5/5/21, Mitch McConnell: "100% of my focus is on stopping this new administration."

10/23/10, Mitch McConnell: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

That anyone honestly believes the Republican party has any interest in being bipartisan is hilarious.

No one does, it's the same projection & gaslighting as always from the fascists.   These aren't good faith arguments they're just meant to distract and keep the opposition on the defensive.   The SC majority have revealed themselves as corrupt & compromised by radical ideologies, so they need to accuse Democrats of planning to do something illegal in the hopes of delaying any prosecution or corrective action.

They know all this but the longer they can keep us arguing about it the longer the grift can keep running.  It's like a little kid up past their bedtime arguing for 5 more minutes because they know the argument will take at least 10.

Who would want it right now??? LOL!!

Many people are saying it :ninja:  My uncle, he went to a rugby game once, same thing, very good genes so I understand the nickel defense.  People, lots of people, they sneak into my room at night and whisper in my ear.  "Doing a great job" they say. Great people. God bless them,

Regardless of who's in power, we need to keep the filibuster. Without it we'll have yo yo'ing of laws everything power changes. Congress needs mechanisms like that to encourage bipartisanship because as well agree, neither side is interested in it now

Inclined to agree, along with term limits and campaign finance reform with some teeth to it but I'm not sure if it even matters.  When a third or even fifth of the country is willing to entertain the idea of a civil war in support of Donald Fucking Trump it's hard to convince me that rules of procedure for our bicameral legislature truly matter.  An angry white mob were smearing their shit on the walls of the Capitol. That's a pretty clear message of not giving a fuck about laws or the workings of democracy so long as they won.

Their own shit.  Smeared on the walls.  Because Donald fucking Trump.

And we're worried about the filibuster? Meh.
