Guessing any chance of that ended when he didn’t take that handoff and ended up getting the quarterback hit in whatever game that was. It’s safe to assume their will be a new third down back via draft or FA.

One play doesn't make a season or career.

You know he's produced since he's been here no matter his role.

3rd down power back is needed.

Plenty for the taking at reasonable contracts.

Id look for one with a very high third and 2 or 3 % rates .

Estime has good film but ran slowly at the combine so perhaps he'll fall. He'd be my preference.

I love Estime. I was glad to see him run slow, as I feared he might even go in Rd 2 before we would want to take a RB.

Trayveon Williams...

My guy...

26 yrs..

5.0 ypc on 60 attempts

78% completion rate.

,KO  or PR...specialist..

Special teamer..

He's the 3rd back..

He could help the offense with more snaps..

Why not?

I’m a fan… he was a stud at A&M and was the SEC offensive player of the year his last season. He’s an instinctive runner, runs hard. Improved as a receiver and he can block. Good ST player, as you indicated. One of those guys who gets dismissed a lot but keeps showing up.

He had one gaffe last year where JB yelled at him but normally he has been reliable when called upon.

Estime, Braelon Allen and Ray Davis are my guys. I’d be happy to come away with any one of those three.

Sure..every team wants lightning.

Brown is the man now.

Moss will split carries to keep both fresh.

Trayveon lurks.

Moss--Mixon

Mixon ran hard but to upright and at 6'1 was a large target to hit.

Moss at 5'9  is low to the ground and elusive with better balance..

Report: Bengals release veteran RB Joe Mixon after signing replacement

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Cincinnati Bengals released veteran running back Joe Mixon on Monday, according to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.

Mixon was released after the Bengals signed former Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss. Ross signed a 2-year, $8 million deal including a $4.525 million payout in year one, according to Schefter.

Sports Illustrated said Mixon would have received a $3 million roster bonus on March 18 if he was still on the team, putting his 2024 cap hit to $8.85 million, about 3 percent of the total roster.

Cincinnati drafted Mixon in the second round of the 2018 draft. He rushed for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns at Oklahoma.

Mixon was a mainstay of the Bengals backfield, rushing for over 1,000 yards four times. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2021, rushing for 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He rushed for 6,412 yards in 97 games with the Bengals and is third on Cincinnati’s all-time rushing list behind James Brooks and Corey Dillon. He would have likely passed James Brooks early in the 2024 season if he wasn’t released.

Moss rushed for 2,076 yards for Buffalo and Indianapolis since 2020. The Bills selected him with the third-round pick in 2020 after he played four years at Utah.

He’s coming off his best pro season in 2023. He rushed for 794 yards and five touchdowns for the Colts in 14 games.
