I have no issue with BJ

He's pretty mid. Better than Rankins and Hubbard but not really an above average player. The price isn't high but they should have been able to sign some other players who either rush the passer better (Reed, who re-signed with Seattle) or one of the Charger IDL guys. Plenty of time left to find replacements for Rankins and Hubbard but not an inspiring start to free agency.

Kinda surprised. He's OK. I know he is a great locker room guy and as a rotation piece, he's still useful. Issue was, he was used too much and he wore down. I think the plan for the DL is a big rotation at DT and edge, so that fits. And I'm guessing Golden and Montgomery liked what they saw.

I'd like to see Ossai back, too, and I liked Sample also... again, as rotational guys. I think Ossai could add some juice to the pass rush but not sure he's coming back, betwen being a Mulugheta client and maybe getting more $ elsewhere. Wouldn't shock me if Sample ended up in Indy - Lou has always been a big fan. He had a torn achilles and that's a big deal.

The one DT I like that's out there is the guy from the Lions - Onwuzuirke. Talented young player.

Yeah, I'd rather have used the 11 mil for Hill toward signing Onwuzurike. Sample was fine when he was healthy but he likely won't sign anywhere until he can pass a physical. I doubt they bring back Ossai.

Seems unlikely they are trading Trey if they are standing pat on the D-line so far.

Hill & Ford are good signings but let's go get someone that makes the team better. These moves so far are running to stay in place.

Was Perine really their best option? Seems more like the easiest one to me. Very risk-averse, as usual. Very status quo.

Cheap being the most important factor.

Good? He was an OK change of pace RB for us years ago. He's had a grand total of about 75 carries since. We're talking about a guy with <2k rushing yards for his career. Did he even see the field for KC in the postseason?

He made a couple of big plays here is all. I think that's nostalgia talking & I also think they had younger, better options available.
