A couple of ours may as well have been... In Burrow's 2 full seasons he was the most sacked QB in the NFL. Result? 1-1 in back to back AFCC games. What other QB's done that without being a run-first type like Vick? To put it another way, you think Mahomes is going to even one AFCC while taking more sacks than any other QB? It's an insane accomplishment both for individual effort and for the team letting that happen a second time. Most teams giving up sacks like that are lucky to have a break-even season. To put it yet another way, imagine what Burrow could do behind the Chiefs OL. Then, despite the beating he's taking thanks to our goofshit FO, he signs an extension instead of jumping ship for more money and probably fewer injuries elsewhere. No complaints, just goes back to rehabbing on the latest trip to IR. So yeah.. Y'all can have Kermit.2 points

What makes anyone think Mahomes is better than a guy he's 3-1 against & has only beat with the help of a 5th down do-over from the refs? or Dak Prescott? He's just Andy Dalton with a bigger ad budget. If he played for someone like Jacksonville he'd be an afterthought.2 points

Why wouldn’t the Chargers just take one of the stud WRs? They have Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and that’s pretty much it. Allen is getting old and Williams is injury prone. Just can’t imagine they pass on a guy like Odunze for a TE.2 points

All is good. I was just frustrated. I know we all are sick and tired of not seeing this team win a SB. I guess I take it too serious at times when we all know it is just a game. You and I are cool and I apologize for saying what I said. We have met each other and spoken from time to time about other things in life. I haven't forgotten that is for sure. I do not dislike anyone on here as we get in heated discussions from time to time but, we all are fans of this team for sure or we would not be here for this many years. Yea, not using our TEs more should be something this team needs to fix. Hopefully, the new OC will work with Zac and make it happen. I think always trying to have two stud WRs is the issue on why they have not used the TE more. To me, they need to get something for Tee and move on.2 points

All is good. No hard feelings. It just very frustrating being a fan of this team for a very long time and not one SB win. While seeing other teams win based off of luck in many ways.2 points

Super charged for this season. So many breakout stars upcoming... Love the starters and bullpen. Reds legit contenders.1 point

I have always been entertained by the premise that “X quarterback beats Y quarterback” Like the other 21 players on the field for X’s team were cardboard cutouts? This is a modern-day usage. I never heard it used years ago.1 point

Franklin might start popping up in that mid-first conversation after he tests in Indy. Might surpass BTJ?1 point

Not really Tee related…but I definitely wouldn’t mind adding Brian Burns to our defense 🔥1 point

If Chargers get Bowers, they may jettison Gerald Everett, who was in LA when Zac was there. He's 29.1 point

Troy Franklin probably warrants some watching now with the new coach hiring. Has versatility playing both boundary and slot which is what I’m sure they’re looking for. ++speed which is what the offensive skill position sets need.1 point

Think you are spot on. Teams value boundary receivers more than move tight ends. I think he will go after MHJ/Nabers/Odunze, but before BTJ. I’m not sure Zac values the tight end judging by how little in terms of assets they used on them while he’s been here. However flawed the thinking may or may not be, they want to get receivers into routes and let tight ends block and release to be a check down. Maybe that changes after this past year - but I’d wager they’d take Odunze over Bowers if both were available. I think the same would occur with a tackle if the right fit was there.1 point

TE is a really hard position to forecast honestly. He’s definitely not going to be the athletic freak that Pitts was but he’s likely to test out a little higher than LaPorta did at the combine. My guess is he goes somewhere in the 15-25 range.1 point

https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/mlb/reds/2024/02/14/don-gullett-former-cincinnati-reds-and-yankees-pitcher-dies-at-73-big-red-machine-world-series/72602088007/ He was my mom’s favorite Reds pitcher. My very first game was the night that Don Gullett took a Larvell Blanks line drive off of his thumb, breaking it and causing him to miss 2 months of the 1975 season. 😢That wound up being the impetus for Sparky Anderson to become “Captain Hook “. He blamed himself for leaving him in too long.1 point

I’m not much for “highlight videos”, but this is a small sample size of what Fuaga brings. A natural RT. Not an LT…and absolutely not a guard.1 point

Dehner's article today showed the Bengals were elite when all 3 of Burrow, Chase, and Higgins were healthy. But that was only for 121 snaps last season. It dogs Higgins on his snap counts played over his career.1 point

So what you're really saying is you won't be watching any college football in 2024 (unless you're a Beaver or Cougar fan?) 🙃1 point

We cut AJ McCarron. Who I thought was a free agent. I would bet he goes back to the Battlehawks. I'd love to see him back here for camp1 point

And Mark Andrews in Baltimore, although it remains to be seen how he will recover from his leg injury.1 point

I think they are going to have to knock this off season out of the park. Fantastic and creative draft, maybe one quality free agent who is not home grown and perhaps in the interior D line. No more Cody Fords, Irv Smith, or Nick Scott. They simply cannot screw around and screw it up.1 point

Right now I think the team should focus on winning division games and retaking the AFCN crown. Do that and everything else will take care of itself.1 point
