  1. Broncos Country .....let's ride The ride....

  2. You're assuming that by not spending the money on Higgins they will reinvest it on other players. Also the cap just went up, more than enough to cover his franchise tag. This means they are still top 5 in cap space. Do you think they're going to approach free agency like a team with $50-60m to spend, or do you think we're due another press release about how they did the math and actually need to borrow ohhhh about $3.50?

  3. Yes, Eluemunor played well the last couple of years. He'd started his career at guard, then moved to RT for the Raiders after Leatherwood flamed out. He's been cheap in prior years but has most likely earned himself a decent contract. He'll probably be paid less than Jonah and lacks the All-American and first round pedigree. On the other hand, PFF rates him as the better player each of the last several years and he's durable. My guess is he'll sign somewhere for less than $10 mil per.

  4. I think Sample is really only needed if they’re going to commit more to 12 personnel. I don’t think he gives you what you need from a lone tight end in 11 personnel. They like to get the tight end out into routes and if they want a personal protector in shotgun I’d prefer it to be a guy you could actually run RPO with. Id like to see him back paired with Bowers. That would signal they are serious about getting bigger bodies in there to run the ball, but as a standalone Y tight end he doesn’t stress the defense enough. Adam Trautman could be a pretty decent Y tight end if they want to stay in 11 and miss out on their top targets. Feels a little misutilized in the Payton offenses and has a pretty good RAS to suggest he could at least stress the middle of the field.

  5. After seeing Mike Evans numbers, the Bengals can easily tag Tee twice if needed. His PoS agent should realize this and quit dicking around. Mike Brown isn't going to give a Rub&Tug deal like Tee's agent got from Queefland.

  6. Are you being serious? Clearly I'm talking about the nonsense at the end of your post that looks like you just slapped a bunch of keys with your forehead as you passed out.

  7. I think you need to try and keep as many of your homegrown proven players through their second contracts as you can. Considering the way they’ve drafted, they won’t be giving many second contracts to anyone after Tee. Ja’Marr is the only one that comes to mind and the big cap hits for him won’t kick in until after his fifth year. I think the fifth year is in the $21M due to his pro bowl nominations so there is some overlap. I don’t think it’s about whether or not they want to pay him though. It’s about how much they are willing to guarantee. Stealers didn’t guarantee any out year money to anyone until Watt. The Bengals had never done it outside of Burrow. The Vikings reportedly don’t want to do it for a non-QB. A lot of these owners don’t want to tie that additional money up in escrow. Imagine this is going to be a big issue next year in the Ja’Marr extension talks. Guaranteed aside - they should try like hell. I believe Goodberry said teams that have a 15 yard play during their drive score over 50% of the time. I can’t imagine letting a guy that can produce those plays get to the open market if you can help it. Especially when there’s only one other guy on offense right now that can do it.

  8. Sorry, no Thunder, but they can offer you this: He may not break tackles but he's All Pro at dodging weapon charges

  9. No, a team can only tag 1 player per year. Choice of exclusive or non-exclusive franchise tag or transition tag. Teams can tender as many restricted or exclusive rights free agents as they want.

  10. You have options for tags (e.g. franchose vs. transition) but I'm almost positive that you can't use both in the same year.

  11. Post concussion amnesia sounds pretty bad.

  12. Patriots used their tag on Kyle Dugger (transition tag) so they can't use it on Brown or Onwenu,

  14. Volson was very good when they changed the system for Browning......but the system was changed. So.....who knows

  15. Hayden Hurst being released as well, although his last concussion will probably scare teams away.

  16. Volson gets all the chances to get Burrow hurt, Frank Pollack is looking bad continuing to back this guy who obviously needs to be replaced.

  17. Yall are high if you think Sample will be in demand around the league. He's been a free agent multiple times, and ends up re-signing here on 1 year, minimum benefit deals (that count at a reduced number on the cap). I'm sure the Bengals will offer him a deal like that again and maybe the Titans will, but otherwise, there are other, better blocking TEs available and Sample can't run routes.

  18. Rumors are saying Russell Wilson will take the vet minimum with his next teams since Denver owes him $39M. I sounds like the Stealers are interested. I really hope not.

  19. That would not be typical of how the Bengals do business.

  20. I'm sure the Bengals offered him a decent deal at the time but obviously not as much as the Jets

  21. Love CJ but I would be really surprised if the Bengals brought him back

  22. Meh, I don't blame him. These guys are mercenaries with a short shelf life and they're trying to get all the money they can while they have the ability to play. He took a risk, and maybe in the end, it was not a great deal as it turns out, but who's to say it would have worked out had he stayed in Cincinnati? Maybe things would have been different if Aaron Rogers had been healthy. And who's to say that he won't get another shot somewhere to continue his career, and $-wise, still be better off?

  25. First thing the Bengals need to do is resign Sample. As the NFL and Draft barely produces any blocking TEs. He will be needed whether they get Fant or draft Bowers.

  26. Well the question was, is near-Evans money hypothetically "worth it" for Tee, not so much what will the Bengals do. I gave my thought what I think it should mean to them, but if you ask me what I think they'll do - I think it will likely be Jessie all over again. Tag at least once, maybe twice, the player is unhappy and they let him walk after. Best case scenario we win a Super Bowl, worst case we as fans are disappointed the team didn't do something else with him from the beginning. The wildcard is if Tee/the agent holds out or tries to force something. I'm happy for us to have Tee but I'm wary of an unhappy Tee. Edit: I should add, if the question is considered more generic i.e. is Tee worth near-top-of-the-league money for *any* team... I'd say no. He hasn't proven it long enough and he gets hurt too often.

  27. I've got lots of thoughts. 1-The Draft is light at TE, especially field stretchers 2-The team was burnt the last draft because they didn't land one 3-They want a field stretcher 4-They want someone 27 or younger 5-They will push to sign Noah Fant and Brock Bowers won't be in the picture come draft day.

  28. We all do but it might take a short deal on a vet to groom a rook for a season.

  29. Did he have a stroke at the end there?

  30. Yeah the Waltons personally dont get hurt by this, but they still have to play by the cap rules.

  31. Evans is a future HOFer. His receiving totals are still very good. He's older and 2 for 26 is due on n art to his productivity and an all time Buc favorite. Tee is much younger and his best yrs are ahead. If elite WRs are getting 23 to 30;mil why not he? That figure is pretty close to what his agent will demand

  32. Side note. Notice all 4 in the AFC.

  33. And the Walton clan cares because?? They don't. They'll sign a rook( Nix) and pencil whips the books . All will be better in Bronco land or at least not as bad

  35. Good points about Love.. Lawrence may never live up to elite status. He's Solid and with better weapons could be dangerous to face. Wonder how much he'd like to hookup with Tee again? I'm thinking alot. ..

  40. Hot take...but Colleen Wolfe should have a permanent position on GMFB Colleen > Jamie

  41. So MVP finalist Brock Purdy isn't on his list but guys like Lawrence and Murray whose stats were similar to Justin Fields make the cut? Jordan Love or Kirk Cousins deserve to be on the list more than Lawrence and Murray.
