It was awarded by the BCS anyway, not the NCAA. I believe the NCAA vacated USC's wins when Bush was on the take but the BCS still considers them the champs for those years. Some of you guys are fantasizing about this going back years. Maybe players have been selling stuff for years, but there's no evidence Tressel knew anything about it prior to Cicero's email. The SI story tried to imply that Tressel knew the trustee at YSU had bought the car for the star QB. Of course all it really said was that Tressel knew Isaacs had a car. Duh.
