The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was 3.7 miles deep. Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. The quake was in Mineral, Va., in Louisa County.[/size][/font]

The U.S. weather service says no tsunami is expected.[/size][/font]

All D.C. public schools have been evacuated.[/size][/font]

There are no reported injuries at Prince George's County public schools. However, all schools are in evacuation mode. Teams are assessing school facilities and schools will be dismissed on time.[/size][/font]

Arlington County is reporting there are no reports of major damages at this time.[/size][/font]

Dulles Airport and Reagan National Airport are operating as normal, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. No word yet on BWI.[/size][/font]

D.C. officials say small aftershocks have been reported.[/size][/font]

It wasn't really an earthquake, Harley...it was just the aftershock of Cliff Lee and Hunter Pence last night at CBP.

People in my building here in downtown Columbus said they felt the building "move"...but I didn't notice anything.

I work a couple of blocks from the Pentagon. Building had minor shake and then a violent longer one. We evacuated the building. Building fire escape stairwells now have cracks in the concrete. Got word a water main broke at the Pentagon. But no injuries reported.

Most people heading home. Metr train inching along at 5 MPH
