So she called her mom who works on the 25th floor in downtown Cincinnati. While they're talking, my wife starts to see her chair shake. Actually watched my keyboard move and vibrate around the desk like a phone on vibrate. All the buildings and schools around were evacuated. I came home to find a nasty crack in my foundation. [/quote] ...similarly, a couple days after the Joplin tornado the local news was showing damage from storms that when through this area (Cincy)...showing a tree that had blown onto a garage and similar other damage. I've been in similar, and stronger ones, and know from first hand experience that it can scare the shit right out of you. If you're at all interested in a little read check this out. It describes the Japanese scale for quakes and the difference between magnitude and what the Japanese call "shindo" For example a quake could have a magnitude of 5.8 but a shindo of 3 and it wouldn't be that bad. But a 5.8 with a shindo of 6 would rock your ass off. Like I said, if you're interested give it a look. So little damage from this quake and then you have that entire side of that roof fall off like that? I'd sue the company that built the building.
